Learners of Sta. Maria National High School enthusiastically participated in the second day of the Opening Block Activities for School Year 2026–2027, which focused on helping them become more familiar with the people and places that make up their school community.

Through engaging activities and interactive games, learners had the opportunity to know more about the dedicated teaching and non-teaching personnel who work tirelessly to support their growth and success. They also learned about the school’s offices, facilities, programs, and services, enabling them to navigate their new environment with greater confidence and responsibility.

As part of the opening activities for School Year 2026–2027, Sta. Maria National High School conducted a Learners’ Orientation on the Strengthened Senior High School (SHS) Program to equip students with essential information about the enhanced curriculum and the opportunities it offers.

The orientation provided learners with a comprehensive overview of the Strengthened SHS Program, including its goals, curriculum structure, career pathways, assessment system, and school policies. Learners were also introduced to the various support services available to help them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally throughout their Senior High School journey.

Through this activity, students gained a clearer understanding of their roles and responsibilities as Senior High School learners and were encouraged to make the most of the opportunities that will prepare them for higher education, employment, entrepreneurship, and lifelong learning.

Sta. Maria National High School Successfully Opens Classes for SY 2026–2027

Sta. Maria National High School warmly welcomed learners as classes officially opened for School Year 2026–2027. The opening day was marked by enthusiasm, excitement, and readiness among students, teachers, and school personnel as they embarked on a new academic journey.

To ensure the smooth implementation of opening-of-classes activities and the readiness of the school, monitoring was conducted by Clariza P. Catedral, Education Program Supervisor (EPS) in English. During the visit, Ma’am Catedral observed the school’s preparations, classroom management, learner orientation activities, and the overall conduct of the first day of classes.

The school administration, led by Ma’am Judy Marie F. Cabrera, together with the teaching and non-teaching personnel, demonstrated their commitment to providing a safe, inclusive, and learner-centered environment. Learners participated in orientation activities designed to familiarize them with school policies, classroom expectations, and the programs and services available to support their academic success.

📚 Opening Program for the Division Training on the Revised K to 10 Curriculum for Grades 6, 9, and 10 Teachers

The school was honored by the presence of Carlos B. Llamas III, Chief of the Quality Assurance Division, NEAP, DepEd Central Office, and Ralph Martin, Technical Assistant II, NEAP, DepEd Central Office, whose participation underscored the significance of the training in strengthening curriculum implementation and enhancing the professional growth of teachers.

Today marks the successful opening of the Division Training on the Revised K to 10 Curriculum for Grades 6, 9, and 10 Teachers hosted by Sta. Maria National High School. The opening program gathered dedicated educators, school leaders, and education supervisors as they embarked on a four-day learning journey focused on strengthening curriculum implementation and enhancing teaching practices.

The program highlighted the importance of continuous professional development in equipping teachers with the knowledge, skills, and strategies needed to effectively deliver the revised curriculum.
