📢 PUBLIC ADVISORY

⚠️ SUSPENSION OF FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES DUE TO HIGH HEAT INDEX AND SCHEDULED POWER INTERRUPTION

In view of the high prevailing heat index and the scheduled power interruption affecting the city, the whole-day suspension of face-to-face classes is hereby implemented on August 18, 2026 for the following:

✅ Day Care Centers
✅ Kindergarten to Senior High School (Public and Private Schools)
✅ College Level (Public and Private Institutions)

All concerned schools are advised to shift to appropriate Alternative Learning Modalities (ALM) in accordance with the guidelines and policies of the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

This measure is being undertaken to ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all learners, teaching personnel, and school stakeholders amid extreme heat conditions and limited access to electricity.

Everyone is reminded to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to heat, and continue practicing necessary safety measures.
