The 89 Criminology Internship Candidates of Class 10-2027 “Madasilak” officially celebrated their Graduation and Donning Ceremony on May 22, 2026, at the STC Covered Court. Composed of 32 female and 57 male candidates, the class demonstrated unity, discipline, and resilience throughout their intensive in-campus training.

After a week of rigorous training , the candidates successfully completed the course and earned the title of interns. The ceremony featured the ceremonial entry of troops, parade and review, distribution of certificates, donning of ranks, and special awards.

The program was led by Mr. John Paul A. Acosta, together with the training staff- Mr. Gabriel T. Sianquita, RCrim and Mr. Rico T. Musong, RCrim, MCJE, and with the faculty members under the supervision of Dr. Ramel B. Pepito, RCrim, CST, CSP, Dean of the College of Criminology. The event was also graced by Guest Speaker Pat Chrizel T Dua, RCrim of Tandag City Police Station, who inspired the candidates to serve with integrity and excellence.

"𝙶𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚝 𝚕𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚎𝚛𝚜 𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚗𝚘𝚝 𝚋𝚘𝚛𝚗 𝚒𝚗 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚏𝚘𝚛𝚝. 𝚃𝚑𝚎𝚢 𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚏𝚘𝚛𝚖𝚎𝚍 𝚝𝚑𝚛𝚘𝚞𝚐𝚑 𝚍𝚒𝚜𝚌𝚒𝚙𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚎, 𝚜𝚊𝚌𝚛𝚒𝚏𝚒𝚌𝚎, 𝚌𝚘𝚞𝚛𝚊𝚐𝚎, 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚙𝚞𝚛𝚙𝚘𝚜𝚎.

The Reception Rites officially marked the beginning of the journey of the Criminology Internship Candidates as they prepare themselves for the responsibilities and challenges ahead. The activity started with the singing of National Anthem, followed by the Opening Prayer, then an Opening Remarks by Ms. Honeylee Fritz L. Jumanoy, RCrim, MCSJ, setting the tone for a meaningful and disciplined experience.

The candidates were then guided through the Course Orientation delivered by Mr. John Paul Acosta, RCrim, together with the Dos and Don’ts discussed by Mr. Rico T. Musong, RCrim, MCJE, to help them better understand the expectations, responsibilities, and proper conduct during their internship.

The program ended with the Closing Remarks by Mr. Gabriel Sianquita, RCrim and followed by a Reception by Station facilitated by the recently graduated training officers, welcoming the candidates as they take another step closer to becoming future law enforcers.

May this journey continue to build discipline, respect, courage, and commitment in serving the community with honor and integrity.

The College of Criminology successfully conducted the Criminology On-the-Job Training Culmination Program for Batch Mabagsik Class of 09-2026 on March 7, 2026, at Diamond Hall, Saint Theresa College of Tandag, Inc.

The event formally recognized the successful completion of the 540-hour On-the-Job Training of 174 criminology interns, honoring their dedication, discipline, and commitment throughout the training program.

The program commenced with a welcome message delivered by Ms. Jerissa Alano, RCrim. The interns were presented by Mr. Rico T. Musong, RCrim, MCJE, Criminology Intern Coordinator, and were formally accepted by the College Dean, Dr. Ramel B. Pepito, RCrim, CST, CSP.

Distinguished representatives from various partner agencies graced the occasion, including PCPT Kian Paul Mar T. Bargio and PEMS Rufo B. Ebol of the Tandag City Police Station; PLTCOL Arvin B. Montenegro, PCMS Antonio D. Daga-ang, and PCpl Eduardo S. Libando Jr. of the Surigao del Sur Provincial Internal Affairs Service; and PEMS Edgardo L. Climaco together with 𝐏𝐂𝐎𝐋 𝐉𝐄𝐅𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐘 𝐋𝐀𝐖𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐃 𝐌𝐀𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐂𝐎, Provincial Director of the Surigao del Sur Police Provincial Office, who also served as the keynote speaker.
The College likewise expressed its sincere appreciation to the Surigao del Sur Parole and Probation Office headed by Ms. Chiara M. Barsaga, together with SRPPO Patrick A. Calamba, for their invaluable support and contribution to the interns’ training and professional development.

The culmination program served as a celebration of the interns’ achievements and growth as future law enforcers committed to integrity, professionalism, and public service.

The event started with a brief opening program and an orientation on proper tree planting procedures led by a 𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐑𝐎 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞. Faculty members, student volunteers, and staff of the College of Criminology actively participated in planting various seedlings, a symbolic act of unity and environmental care.

The activity concluded with reflection-sharing from selected Criminology students, emphasizing the value of collective action and responsibility in preserving nature. 💚

Together, let’s continue nurturing life and protecting the environment, one tree at a time! 🌳
