Strengthening CPP in MAIS through Capacitating School Personnel

Amid the extreme heat experienced these days, MAIS remains committed to providing learners with a safe, child-friendly, and supportive school environment. As part of this commitment, the school continues to strengthen and refine its Child Protection Policy (CPP) in accordance with existing legal mandates and DepEd policies.

The LAC Session focused on enhancing the capacity of school personnel to properly manage school-related conflicts and bullying, ensuring that concerns are addressed through appropriate procedures and due process using the DepEd Referral System.

The session was facilitated by Guidance Advocate Mercy G. Rodriguez, who also launched AGAP Heart, an initiative of the school under SIP Project AGAK, further strengthening MAIS’s commitment to promoting the protection, well-being, and holistic development of every learner.

In view of the prevailing high heat index being experienced in the Municipality of San Agustin, the Local Chief Executive (LCE), Hon. Nicolas O. Alameda, CE, MPA, through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) headed by Sir Edralin L. Quevedo, has issued an Executive Order (EO) No. 30-2026 suspending face-to-face classes in both public and private schools, effective today from 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of learners, teachers, and school personnel.

TUPAD Barangay Pong-on Provides 2-Day Service at Maurillo Avila Integrated School

Today, members of the TUPAD program in Barangay Pong-on rendered a three-day service at Maurillo Avila Integrated School to support the establishment and development of the school’s vegetable garden.

Their primary task is to clean the designated area and install a vegetable garden that will help strengthen the school’s health and nutrition programs. Through this initiative, the TUPAD workers are contributing to the promotion of healthy food production and sustainable school-based nutrition activities.

The activity is led by Hon. Natividad Quezada, Chairperson of the Committee on Education, and PTA President Hon. Analiza Asotia Capon, under the supervision of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Hon. Julius O. Laviña, Barangay Captain of Barangay Pong-on.
