Haze is a form of air pollution caused by fine particles and gases in the atmosphere, including particulate matter (PM10 and PM2.5), sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, ozone, and carbon monoxide. It may result from forest and land fires, industrial emissions, and polluted air carried by the southwest monsoon or Habagat.

According to the ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฉ๐š๐ซ๐ญ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐‡๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐‚๐š๐ซ๐š๐ ๐š ๐‘๐ž๐ ๐ข๐จ๐ง, haze may irritate the eyes and airways and can worsen breathing problems, especially among children, older persons, pregnant individuals, and people with asthma or heart and lung conditions. When haze affects the area, stay hydrated, wear a well-fitting mask, limit outdoor activities, and keep doors and windows closed as much as possible.

A legislature is shaped not only by the measures it passes, but also by the work, responsibility, and commitment behind each one. The Standing Committees form an essential part of the Legislative Office, providing structure to the responsibilities entrusted to its members.

The Student Leaders Assembly was held at 1:00 PM at the BEED Function Hall, bringing together student leaders, mayors, representatives, governors, and various organizations, together with the ๐๐„๐Œ๐’๐” ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐’๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐†๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ (๐”๐’๐†), for a meaningful gathering centered on collaboration, coordination, and student leadership.

The assembly was graced by the presence of OSWD Head ๐’๐ข๐ซ ๐‘๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ง ๐†. ๐„๐ง๐๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ, USG President ๐‚๐ฅ๐š๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐. ๐”๐›๐ฎ๐š๐ง, USG Adviser ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐‘๐š๐ง๐๐ฒ ๐. ๐€๐ฏ๐ข๐ฅ๐š, and University Nurse ๐„๐ฅ๐๐ž๐ณ๐ข๐ง๐ง๐š ๐Ž๐ง๐๐จรฑ๐š, ๐‘๐, ๐Œ๐€๐. The University Nurse highlighted an important discussion on ๐‡๐€๐™๐„, providing student leaders with essential information and reminders on proper precautions and health awareness amid hazy conditions.

Together, student leaders and organizations continue to strengthen unity, foster collaboration, and uphold their commitment to serving the NEMSU community.

This celebration recognizes the dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment of our faculty and personnel in serving the university and the community.

Democracy carries a history of courage, struggle, and sacrifice. It is a freedom that Filipinos once fought to restore and one that continues to be tested by the realities of our time. Yet, despite the challenges, the voice of the people remains one of the strongest foundations of a democratic nation.
