In observance of National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM), pursuant to Executive Order No. 29, s. 2017, Tanay East Integrated National High Schooll proudly hosted a Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid Training today, July 2, 2025.

This initiative was conducted in partnership with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), headed by Sr. Insp. Norberto Francisco E. Matienzo Jr., BFP (Ret.), and was held within the school premises. The event aims to promote preparedness and equip participants with vital life-saving skills in alignment with the nationwide thrust to strengthen community disaster resilience.

Participants included members of the Junior Emergency Response Team (JERT) and selected senior high school students, who actively engaged in hands-on training sessions. The program provided essential knowledge on emergency response, CPR techniques, and basic first aid procedures.

The activity was facilitated by the school’s focal persons, headed by Ms. Leanne May Garcia, with due consideration given to the academic needs of learners.
