A productive meeting was held between the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Regional Office VIII, led by Regional Director Grace Q. Subong, and the EVSU Extension Services Office headed by Dr. Jeffrey B. Negros regarding the expansion of extension initiatives for capacity development with the DSWD FO VIII RRCY.

Discussions focused on the finalization of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), including stipulations and provisions that will also integrate Research Services. Plans for the graduation rites of the three (3) beneficiary-graduates of the BSIT Electricity Program of RRCY were likewise discussed as part of the continuing commitment to rehabilitation through education and skills development.

Present during the meeting from the DSWD Office were Georgina M. Bulasa, Center Head; Carol B. Gerilla, Division Chief of the Policy & Plans Development Division; Jonna Jorda, Planning Officer and Research Focal; and Ben Silla Calzado, Manpower Development Officer and Skills Development Training Focal. Representing EVSU TC was Prof. Dr. Ramelito R. Paler, Head of Quality Assurance and former Head of Extension Services.

The meeting highlights the shared commitment of both institutions in building inclusive opportunities and sustainable development for the youth.

The Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship Program successfully conducted the “Eco-Friendly Product Branding and Sustainable Packaging Development” training under Project ENTEROP at Barangay Bagacay East, La Paz, Leyte.

The activity equipped 20 participants with knowledge and practical skills on sustainable branding, eco-friendly packaging, and product competitiveness through the insightful discussions of Resource Speaker Prof. Meg Ann M. Villero.

Present during the activity were Dr. Jeffrey B. Negros, Program/Project Leader; Prof. Yolanda C. Cabo, Assistant Program/Project Leader; Dr. Reynalyn O. Barbosa, Head, BEM Department; Dr. Grace N. Dumrigue; Prof. Melissa A. Dela Cruz; Prof. Zosilyn M. Malate; Prof. Dr. Ramelito R. Paler; and Prof. Jerome O. Tilana.

The Management Team likewise extends its sincere appreciation to Barangay Chairperson Hon. Sergio M. Malate, the SB Members, and the community beneficiaries for their continued support and consistent participation in the activities.

Once your application has been successfully tagged, the “Confirm Intent to Enroll” button will appear in your portal. Please be assured that all listed qualifiers posted on the EVSU website will be properly tagged before the confirmation deadline on May 20, 2026 (Wednesday).

The Eastern Visayas State University Tanauan Campus officially received a new Mitsubishi L300 following the successful completion of the vehicle procurement and bidding process. The vehicle will be utilized by the Offices of Research & Development and Extension Services (ORDExS) to strengthen the delivery of research and extension-related programs and activities of the campus.

The offices likewise express its sincere gratitude to Campus Director Dr. Sheldon Ives G. Agaton for his strong support and initiative in pushing for the acquisition of the new vehicle. Appreciation is also extended to University President Dr. Dennis C. De Paz, the Bids and Awards Committee, Supply Officer, Accounting Team, and the previous heads of the offices, Prof. Loreta Cinco, Prof. Dr. Ramelito R. Paler and Dr. Jasten Keneth D. Treceñe, whose contributions and efforts served as fundamental instruments in the realization of the vehicle.
