Knowledge becomes meaningful when it is put into action.
On the third day of the Basic Life Support (BLS) Training, students from the School of Nursing and Midwifery participated in simulation exercises that allowed them to apply the lifesaving skills they have learned. Through realistic emergency scenarios, they strengthened their teamwork, critical thinking, and confidence in responding effectively under pressure. These hands-on experiences prepared them to provide timely, competent, and compassionate care when every second counts.

Mercado College conducted its Influenza Awareness & Flu Vaccination Program on July 22, 2026, at the Mercado College Events Hall to promote health awareness and encourage influenza prevention within the campus community.
The seminar was led by Dra. Jeremiah Micael Caraan - School Physician, who discussed what influenza is, how it spreads, its possible complications, preventive measures, and the importance of flu vaccination.
Dra. Caraan also explained why getting vaccinated is essential and guided participants through the vaccination process.
Through this initiative, Mercado College continues to promote a healthier and safer learning environment for all.
