Wrapping up IT Week with an 𝙪𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙩 𝘽𝙂𝘾😉—where learning met real-world innovation! We had the opportunity to visit TP ICAP Broker Firm, where we gained valuable insights about AI, 𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘨𝘰 𝘣𝘦𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘮 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥 𝘸𝘦’𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘱 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰.

More than just learning, Yesterday was about moments. Walking around the city, sharing laughs, and creating memories with our Intel family made this day even more special. We ended the day on a high note with a buffet dinner at The Alley by Vikings—good food, great company, and even better memories 💙

Today was all about stepping into the real world of tech as 𝐰𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲’𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 💻📈 Through an insightful seminar, we learned how data turns into decisions, and how analysts play a big part in shaping businesses and innovations around us.
From understanding real-world applications to seeing how data drives success, this session opened our eyes to the impact of analytics beyond the classroom 💡

As part of IT Week 2026, a seminar titled “What It Takes to Be an IT Business Analyst” will be held at the LCCT Audio Visual Room on March 21, 2026. The session will feature Mr. Ceejay Golpe Balmaceda, CPMA, who will share valuable insights on the roles, skills, and real-world experiences of an IT Business Analyst.

The seminar will provide students with a deeper understanding of how technology and business intersect, as well as the competencies needed to thrive in the field.

Last Saturday marked an important milestone for the 4th year BSIT students as they successfully defended their capstone proposal. After months of brainstorming, researching, revising, and working late into the night, they finally showcased their dedication and hard work in front of the panel.

Their defense wasn’t just about presenting a project—it was a testament to their teamwork, resilience, and passion for technology. Every question and every piece of feedback pushed them to grow, improve, and strengthen their ideas.

Congratulations to these future IT professionals for demonstrating confidence, commitment, and excellence throughout the entire process. This achievement is a clear reminder that all their effort is leading them one step closer to their goals.

A special appreciation goes to the panel members — Mrs. Leah Lozendo, Mr. Jarl Lindquist, and Dr. Lucy Laylo — for sharing their expertise and guidance during the defense. Gratitude is also extended to Mrs. Julimar Turingan for documenting the session and recommendations, and to their adviser, Dr. Salem Laylo, whose continuous support and mentorship helped shape the students’ work into what it is today.
