Saturday, March 21, we had the privilege of hosting 12 Grade 10 students from Barangay Cansojong for a learning experience on basic computer skills.

‎In a world driven by technology, these foundational skills are the keys to unlocking endless opportunities. We are proud to support these students as they take their first steps toward digital literacy!

Earlier today, the 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐬 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 successfully conducted its 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 entitled “𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝𝙮 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙙, 𝙎𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙃𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨: 𝙈𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙏𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 𝙎𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨” held at the People’s Hall, Talisay City Hall (March 21, 2026).

This meaningful activity gathered 𝟮𝟳𝟬 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 together with 𝗕𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝟭 – 𝗔𝗺𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗹, 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁, 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘀, 𝗜𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀, and 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲, aiming to promote awareness on mental health, emotional well-being, and positive coping strategies essential in both academic and hands-on learning environments.

We are honored to have 𝗠𝘀. 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗮 𝗝. 𝗗𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹, 𝗥𝗣𝗺, 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗔 as our speaker. A Registered Psychometrician and Certified Human Resource Associate, Ms. Dedal shared her expertise in psychological assessment, recruitment, and mental wellness. Her session emphasized the importance of managing stress, maintaining emotional balance, and building resilience as students prepare for future careers.

Through this program, students were equipped with:

✔️ Healthy coping mechanisms
✔️ Awareness of mental health in technical education
✔️ The value of teamwork, safety, and emotional support

The enhancement seminar entitled “𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗛: 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲-𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀” was successfully conducted last October 8, 2025 at the San Isidro Complex, Talisay City, Cebu.

This program served as an avenue to enhance students’ awareness, readiness, and preparedness in responding to emergencies and disasters. The active participation and dedication of the attendees are truly commendable.

The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation of Talisay City, in coordination with the local government unit of Talisay, is now accepting donations for the victims of the destructive earthquake that devastated many towns in Northern Cebu.

You may drop off your donations at your respective barangay halls. The SK officials will then forward them to the main drop-off area at the Talisay City Hall.
