Grandparents Day is celebrated to honor grandparents, recognize their vital role in the family, and give them an opportunity to show love for their grandchildren and share their wisdom and experiences. The day also serves to help children appreciate older adults and foster intergenerational relationships, fostering a sense of connection, support, and appreciation across generations.

The Feast of the Nativity of Mary is celebrated every 8th of September as an acknowledgement for Mama Mary's role in salvation, the faithful's devotion, and her model of faith and virtue.
