Date: April 26, 2026

Subject: Shift to Asynchronous Learning Modality (April 27, 2026)

In line with the approved request of the University Student Government, please be advised that face-to-face classes are suspended on April 27, 2026, due to the forecasted high heat index across Negros Occidental.

All classes at TUP Visayas including Sagay Campus will shift to an asynchronous learning modality on the said date, in accordance with the guidelines outlined in the previously issued Campus Director’s Memorandum on asynchronous classes.

Meanwhile, all non-teaching personnel are required to report to work as scheduled.

This announcement is issued for the information and guidance of all concerned.

The TUP Visayas University Student Government (TUPV USG) has successfully concluded its 2nd Local Deliberation. From nine (9) carefully crafted resolutions, three (3) have been endorsed for advancement into House Bills—𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

Today, we remember the bravery of Filipinos who fought and stood their ground for our freedom. Their courage reminds us that being a hero is not just about the past. It is about what we choose to do today.

Right now, many Filipinos are struggling because of rising prices caused by the oil crisis and the lack of clear, concrete solutions. In times like this, we do not just need leaders. We need action, honesty, and accountability.

True valor is not only shown in war. It is seen in people who speak up, stand for what is right, and refuse to ignore what is wrong.

Let this day be a wake-up call. Open our eyes. Speak the truth. Stand against irregularities. Because real courage is choosing to care, to act, and to fight for a better Philippines.
