The 1st year students of the Bachelor of Industrial Technology major in Apparel and Fashion Technology proudly concluded their Culminating Fashion Show last June 17, 2025, at the ETGB Function Hall. The event marked a milestone for the program as it was the first time a culminating fashion show was initiated by first-year students.
The program opened with warm and inspiring remarks from Professor Ma. Lourdes Hagos, who commended the students for their hard work and creativity. She expressed her pride in their achievements and shared that in her 35 years of handling the program, it was her first time witnessing a first-year batch organize such an event, a remarkable moment in the history of the department.
The runway featured two sets of designs: Alteration Designs, where students transformed and creatively modified existing garments as part of their output in Garment Fitting Problem and Alteration, and Dress Designs, which showcased original creations developed under Advanced Garment Designing, Pattern Drafting, and Construction.
Also gracing the event was Ms. Lylanie Rivera, their professor during the first semester, who came to show her support and celebrate the students’ growth and success.
The fashion show was a testament to the students’ dedication, creativity, and the strong mentorship that guides them setting a new standard for future batches to follow.
