The assembly began with an opening message from the association's Vice President - External, Mr. Domingo Opao III, followed by an introduction of the core values by Ms. Katrina Tanudra, the association's Vice President - Internal.
Ms. Kiara Marie Legarde and Ms. Jessa Mae Donasco discussed the first core value: Professional Excellence. The discussion highlighted the importance of understanding one's self and assessing their own values in order to become professionally excellent and pursue success.
The second core value focused on the scholars' social responsibilities as "Iskolar ng Bayan." The speakers, Mr. Ryan Luigi Castillo and Ms. Francine Dominique Singson, highlighted that it is the people of the country paying for the education of thousands of scholars, and it is important to turn the knowledge gained into service for the people.
The last core value presented was facilitated by Ms. Angelica Muรฑoz and Ms. Janella Ysabel Bangcaya. The discussion emphasized that leadership is serviceโ serving the constituents to grow, improve, and become better in what they do. Servant leadership aims for long-term sustainability.
The webinar concluded with a presentation of the 2025 activities and the upcoming events for 2026 by Ms. Sheen Danica Klein Lopez, TUPV DOST SA 2025-2026 President.
The TUPV DOST Scholars' Association is grateful for the scholars who participated in the activity. The association is looking forward for an eventful 2026 together with the ๐๐ด๐ฌ๐ฐ๐ญ๐ข๐ณ๐ด ๐ฏ๐จ ๐๐ข๐บ๐ข๐ฏ. โจ๏ธโถ๏ธ

๐ข Calling all DOST Scholars!
General Assembly Webinar | January 25
See you there!

The TUPV DOST-SEI Scholars' Association took a meaningful step as they visited and donated to the Pawssion Project at Brgy. Granada, Bacolod City. What started as a simple outreach became a heartfelt encounter with rescued animals who reminded us of the quiet strength found in second chances.
Through shared resources, warm interactions, and genuine care, the visit turned into a reminder that service goes hand in hand with learning. Each wagging tail, gentle gaze, and playful bark reflected the impact of compassion in action. As scholars, giving back to the community both human and animal strengthens our purpose and values.
This day was more than a donation; it was a moment of connection, empathy, and responsibility. May this serve as a reminder that knowledge becomes more powerful when used to uplift others, and that even the smallest acts of kindness can create lasting change ๐พ๐.

๐ฐ๐ฒ๐น๐น๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ' awards ceremony held today, December 10, 2025 at Diversion 21 Hotel in Iloilo City.
Representing the organization at the event were Jessa Mae Donasco, DOST SAIS Executive Director for External Affairs; Sheen Danica Lopez, TUPV DOST SA President; and Sir Edcel Gaitan, DOST-SEI University Coordinator. It is an annual celebration that traditionally honors outstanding DOST scholar-graduates who earned Latin honors or placed among board exam topnotchers. This year, the event expanded its scope to highlight the collaborative efforts of scholarsโ organizations that played key roles in initiating impactful projects and programs all throughout Western Visayas this school year.
The TUPV DOST Scholarsโ Association expresses its deep gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed their commitment to serving the nation through the spirit of bayanihan, dedication, and unity. The organization vows to remain steadfast in upholding the values expected of DOST scholars and acknowledges that this achievement would not have been possible without the collective effort and dedication of TUPVian scholars who contributed to its mission of service within the region.
