Saint Teresa's School, Talisay, Cebu is a school run by the Congregation of the Daughters of Saint Teresa (DST), a Pontifical Congregation for Women in Valladolid, Carcar City, Cebu, Philippines founded in 1960 by Archbishop Teofilo Bastida Camomot. ng and component facilities were gathered for the construction of the school building in a lot owned by the Parish Church. It was through the efforts and initiative of the late Rev. Veronico Salvador, former parish priest, and Reverend Mother General Juanita Padon, DST reached their agreement on terms and conditions. The construction of the building started the following year and was was supervised by Sr. The school community led its foundation on January 15, 1972. The building was blessed on June 6, 1972 by Archbishop Julio Rosales, D.D. assisted by Rev Fr. Veronico Salvador, the former Parish Priest. The parishioners gave support and cooperation in the establishment of the kindergarten school. Saint Teresa's School of Talisay, Cebu started its operation after receiving the permit to operate in 1972 by opening Kindergarten classes with Sr, Mark Peralta, DST as School Principal. In 1973-74, they opened kindergarten with 9 boys and 6 girls for a total if 15 pupils and grade 1 of 9 boys and 7 girls for a total of 16 pupils. In 1974-75 after a year in operations, the school's reached a total of 12 grade 2 pupils. In 1975, the school received its Government Recognition No 182 s. 1975 for Kindergarten, Grades 1 to 3. The Government Permit for Gr. IV-VI was granted after filing a series if documents for the Renewal of Permit to Operate for the succeeding years with Government Recognition No 42-R-4s. 1984.
