Quirico Manzano National High School in Candoni, Negros Occidental boasts its re-established integrated science laboratory. It has an established routine of laboratory use for all classes.
One of its features is the availability of a looping instructional video about laboratory equipment and their use.
Interestingly, there is a strong collaboration among Science and Agriculture teachers. The Science laboratory is heavily involved in the organic agricultural production classes. Materials like beakers and weighing scales are made available for OAP classes. Conversely, a good number of science investigatory projects of STE students are inclined to agriculture.

Agboy Integrated Farm School is a newly established farm school serving the hinterlands of Candoni in southern Negros Occidental.
As it was once an elementary school, the science equipment available are just for that level. It was agreed with one bigger school in the Poblacion that some equipment be loaned for use of secondary school students.

La Castellana NHS - Senior High School is located in a separate campus from the junior high school.
Its 2 science laboratories are located in the 4th floor of the main building.
The ceiling of the building was destroyed during Typhoon Tino and was refurbished just in time for the opening of the school year. Aside from the DepEd-issued cabinets, the school provided more cabinets for proper display and storage of the equipment. A separate stockroom is allocated between the 2 laboratory rooms.
Particularly notable is how immaculately clean the the laboratories are.

La Castellana National High School has its own share of disaster linked challenges in school management. The lower portion of its campus dealt with a great blow during Typhoon Tino. For some time, its classrooms served as evacuation area for families affected by the eruption of Kanlaon Volcano.
These hurdles should not prevent a school in delivering its mission.
It is recommended that the science laboratory be moved to the higher portion of the campus. A large room must be allocated for it so that all programs can avail its services. Proper inventory of all cabinets and their contents must be done. Also, all expired chemicals must be properly disposed.

Some schools, though far, are worth visiting. And that's Libas National High School in Isabela.
The principal placed the science laboratory in a room adjacent to his office. That's putting primacy to its importance.
The school experienced incomplete delivery of equipment. For instance, the cabinet comes first. Then the equipment followed.
Recommendations were given to improve the ergonomics of the room.

Isabela NHS has a separate campus for its senior high school. Recently, its laboratory suffered a double whammy: flood and fire.
The decision to transfer it to the second floor is a wise move given the vulnerability of the area to flooding.
The team recommended for an immediate inventory of all equipment giving attention to those which are unserviceable due to either flood or fire.

Isabela National High School Isabela Nhs Neg Occ is a very large secondary school in Central Negros Occidental. The establishment of its science laboratory is a story of putting together several "feudal estates" into "one kingdom". The school principal observed that the cabinets containing science equipment were distributed to different classrooms in different buildings. She considered challenges in the problem and was grateful for the AGHAM-NEGROS Extension Program. She sent active teachers to participate in the workshop. These teachers enthusiastically implemented all concepts learned and put up a functional and centralized laboratory.
With the help of the of the 62nd IB of the Philippine Army, more than 40 heavy cabinets and their contents were hauled into one large industrial building. The layout is efficient in such a way that there is a laboratory at each end of the building.

Tinongan National High School in Isabela, Negros Occidental has a dilemma on classroom shortage. It shares the campus and borrows classrooms from Tinongan Elementary School. Although it has another campus nearby, the four classrooms there are just enough for instructional purposes.
Nevertheless, the school administration have alloted a small room which serves as a stockroom to be the area for all science equipment. Given the situation, no science laboratory can be prepped up.
In addition, the classrooms usually serve as evacuation centers which adds to the difficulty of securing the science equipment.
Nonetheless, the team encouraged all science teachers to fully utilize all materials available. Moreover, thorough cleaning must be made all the time to prolong the serviceability of the science equipment.

Payao National High School in Binalbagan, Negros Occidental has limited area, thus, it is divided to 2 campuses. Despite the limitations, there is one integrated laboratory for each campus. The principal provided cabinets for the laboratory.
It was found out that no AGHAM-NEGROS related LAC Sessions given yet to Science teachers.
It was recommended that LAC sessions be held and proper laboratory management be observed.

Augurio Marañon Abeto National High School in Enclaro, Binalbagan once started as an extension school due to the closure of the basic education department of CHMSU Binalbagan. It is now an independent secondary school.
The newly minted integrated laboratory room is located in an elevated area of the campus. Such action is putting prime to the value of science equipment.
The team is delighted to note that the school follows the prescribed inventory template.
