Dr. Garma is a distinguished educator and multidisciplinary researcher currently serving as Teacher VI and School Research Coordinator at Maghaway National High School under the Department of Education – Talisay City. He has made notable contributions in curriculum innovation, particularly in studies related to the MATATAG Curriculum and comparative analyses of STEM education systems across countries.

His academic work focuses on digital literacy, language studies, and curriculum enhancement, with a strong commitment to bridging classroom instruction and real-world applications. He is also engaged in documenting sociolinguistics and local folklore, enriching both cultural and educational research in the Philippines.

The school conducted an orientation for the Strengthened Senior High School Curriculum for School Year 2026-2027 for the Grade 10 students. The orientation aims to provide a roadmap for success, ensuring the Grade 10 learners are not only informed but also empowered to navigate their journey toward higher education or their career path.
A Career Inventory Test by Shasta Twenty-First Century Career Connection was also conducted after the orientation to measure the student's initial preferences. The tool was used to link the students' personal interests and strengths to specific clusters available in Senior High School, making sure that their chosen pathways are both fulfilling and viable.
