The four-day ISO 9001:2015 4th Surveillance External Audit formally concluded through the Closing Meeting held this afternoon, May 7, 2026, at the CHMSU Talisay (Main) Campus.

Prior to the Closing Meeting, the External Audit Team completed the final phase of audit activities at the Talisay (Main) Campus, including the remaining evaluations, validation of documents, and assessment of processes in coordination with the concerned offices and process owners.

The audit covered Days 1, 2, and 4 at the Talisay (Main) Campus and Day 3 at the Alijis Campus, with the active participation and cooperation of the University’s dedicated process owners and auditees.

During the Closing Meeting, the External Audit Team led by Engr. Ernesto O. Dela Cruz and Engr. Sybil C. Paden presented the final audit results, together with valuable insights, observations, feedback, and recommendations gathered throughout the assessment process. These serve as opportunities to further strengthen and continuously improve CHMSU’s Quality Management System.

The meeting concluded with a closing message from Dr. Ma. Riza T. Manalo, who expressed her gratitude for the unwavering commitment, cooperation, and hard work of all offices, faculty, staff, students, and process owners throughout the four-day audit.

As CHMSU continues its pursuit of excellence, the University remains steadfast in delivering quality service and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

The third day of the four-day ISO 9001:2015 4th Surveillance External Audit continued at the Alijis Campus, commencing with an opening meeting with key process owners and auditees on May 6, 2026.

The external audit team carried out a comprehensive evaluation of identified processes and support offices, with auditees actively participating and providing necessary documents and insights in alignment with quality standards.

The day concluded with a debriefing session where initial findings and observations were presented, setting the direction for further discussion during the closing meeting scheduled for tomorrow.

This continuing audit highlights CHMSU’s strong commitment to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across all campuses.

The second day of the four-day ISO 9001:2015 4th Surveillance External Audit began with a courtesy call with the University President, Dr. Norberto P. Mangulabnan, who warmly welcomed the external audit team on May 5, 2026.

The team is led by Dr. Ernesto O. Dela Cruz, Senior Lead Auditor and Team Leader, alongside Engr. Sybil C. Paden, Deputy Head of Certification and Team Member from Certification International Philippines, Inc.

Following the meeting, the team proceeded with the audit on the organization’s context and management review as part of the second day of the external audit, with the University President and Vice Presidents serving as auditees. This forms part of the ongoing assessment of compliance with standards and commitment to continuous improvement.

The audit runs until May 7, 2026.

Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU) reaffirmed its commitment to excellence as it formally commenced the Day 1 Opening Meeting of its ISO 9001:2015 4th Surveillance External Audit on May 4, 2026, at the Audio Visual Room of the Talisay (Main) Campus.

The activity convened with University’s Top Management and Process Owners from the Talisay (Main) Campus, marking another significant step in sustaining quality standards and institutional effectiveness.

Highlighting the importance of the audit, Dr. Jay B. Estrellas, Vice President for Administration and Finance, delivered the welcome message, emphasizing the critical role of demonstrating efficient operational procedures and best practices.

The program also featured the introduction of auditees from the Talisay (Main) and Alijis Campuses, setting a clear and organized framework for the conduct of the audit.

The four-day audit is set to conclude on May 7, 2026, with a Closing Meeting and the presentation of the final audit results in the afternoon to provide valuable insights and recommendations for further enhancing the University’s quality management systems.

The AACCUP Level I Survey Visit for the programs under the College of Education and College of Engineering of Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU) has successfully concluded, reinforcing its commitment to providing accessible, relevant, and transformative learning.

On April 27 to May 1, 2026, the accreditation covered key programs across the Talisay (Main), Alijis, and Binalbagan campuses via Zoom.

Included in this 1st Survey Visit were the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education major in Home Economics and Industrial Arts, Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education major in Home Economics, Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, and Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering.

Reaffirming CHMSU’s commitment to delivering quality education and continuous improvement, Engr. Russel M. Dela Torre, PhD, Vice President for Academic Affairs, shared valuable insights during the activity.

Leading this year’s accreditation was Dr. Maria Lady Sol A. Suazo, who served as the Overall Coordinator. In her message, she outlined the evaluation process and introduced the team of accreditors from various state universities and colleges nationwide, including Dr. Rashid Ceazar G. Ormilla, Dr. Rene G. Nanit, Prof. Vilma L. De Guzman, Prof. Jennifer I. Guevarra, Dr. Fitzgerald C. Kintanar, Engr. Abegail E. Ruiz, Dr. Ronaldo A. Bautista, Dr. Ma. Luisa M. Villanueva, Dr. Jerry I. Teleron, Dr. Christina T. Alfiler, and Dr. J***y P. Alvarez.

Warmest congratulations to the College of Education and College of Engineering’s faculty, staff, students, and the entire task force for their collective effort and steadfast commitment throughout the accreditation journey.
