Today, we commemorate Dr. José Rizal on the 129th anniversary of his martyrdom, a historic moment that reminds us of the strength of ideas, bravery, and deep love for the nation.

Rather than fighting with weapons, Rizal fought through his words, his principles, and his faith in the Filipino people. His writings awakened a nation and proved that truth and intellect can be stronger than force.

As our country continues to face the challenges of corruption in government, may Rizal’s spirit remind every Filipino of our responsibility to stand for truth and justice. Let us continue to protect the freedom and rights we have earned against all forms of injustice and dishonesty.
