CONGRATULATIONS to our new Carolinian Landscape Architecture board passers!

The USC School of Architecture, Fine Arts and Design (SAFAD) has marked another achievement, securing its place among the country’s newest landscape architecture professionals.

In the July 2026 Landscape Architects Computer-Based Licensure Examination (LALE), USC candidates drew up an excellent performance, earning a 90.00% institutional passing rate. This strong showing stands shoulder-to-shoulder with a highly competitive 91.27% national passing rate, with only 115 out of 126 examinees nationwide making the cut.

For SAFAD, this passing rate is a testament to the rigorous, hands-on training that defines a Carolinian education.

This achievement belongs to the entire community. The University of San Carlos extends its deepest appreciation to SAFAD Dean Dr. Adrian P. del Monte and Ar. Pedro Rubia III, Chair of the USC Department of Architecture, to the dedicated faculty, and the families and friends who supported this cohort from their first studio drafts to their final board review.

To our new licensed Carolinian Landscape Architects—thank you for making us proud. We cannot wait to see how you shape and sustain our world!

And that’s a wrap on SAFAD Summer School 2026!
