August 20, 2026

Dear Parents and Students,

Please be informed that Grades 7–9 will have asynchronous classes on August 20, 2026, as our teachers will be attending an online In-Service Training (INSET) conducted by the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC).

This professional development activity is part of the school’s continuing commitment to teacher formation, professional growth, and compliance with DepEd standards and certification requirements.

We ask our students to use the day responsibly by completing the learning activities and assignments provided by their teachers.

As a Catholic school, we believe that the formation of our teachers is also essential to the formation of our students. We continue to strive for excellence and becoming better educators in service of our young people and the community.

SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENT

CLASSES WILL CONTINUE AS SCHEDULED

Following the Municipal Mayor’s announcement suspending classes tomorrow due to the high heat index, PRIVATE SCHOOLS have been given DISCRETION to determine whether classes will continue.

After assessing the current conditions, St. Therese School of Miarayon has decided that CLASSES WILL CONTINUE as scheduled.

At approximately 26°C (12 noon to 3 pm) with 70% relative humidity, the heat index is around 27–28°C, which is generally within a SAFE range. This is generally safe, falling into the LOWER "CAUTION" bracket, though it may feel a bit warm or sticky.

☀️ SAFETY REMINDERS

- Stay hydrated and bring sufficient drinking water.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
- Teachers are encouraged to monitor students for signs of heat-related discomfort.
- Students who feel unwell should immediately inform their teacher.

The safety and well-being of our students remain our priority.

SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENT I Extended Library Hours for Students
August 17 – September 4

WEEKDAYS UNTIL 9PM
FOR SATURDAY USE, PLEASE COORDINATE WITH THE LIBRARIAN (8AM-5PM ONLY)
NO SUNDAYS

Dear Students,

Starting August 17 until September 4, the School Library will remain open until 9:00 PM to provide students with a quiet and conducive space to:

* Study and review lessons
* Conduct research and complete school requirements
* Use the internet "free of charge"

Students who wish to stay beyond regular class hours must secure a letter of permission from their parents/guardians authorizing them to remain in school until the extended library hours.

During this time, the school watchmen will serve as the students’ guardians while they remain on campus.

Please be reminded that all existing Library Rules and Regulations apply. Students are expected to observe proper behavior, maintain cleanliness and silence, and take good care of the library facilities and resources.

Let us make good use of this opportunity to learn, study, and grow.
