NSTP ORIENTATION 2026 | BukSU Talakag Campus.

Yesterday was a meaningful and memorable day for the First-Year Students of Bukidnon State University – Talakag Campus as we gathered for our NSTP Orientation.

The orientation gave us a deeper understanding of the National Service Training Program (NSTP), its purpose, and our responsibilities as students and future leaders. It reminded us that NSTP is not only about learning, but also about service, discipline, leadership, unity, and responsibility.

A special highlight of the event was the introduction of our new set of NSTP Officers, who will lead and represent the first-year students throughout our NSTP journey. May We lead with commitment, humility, and dedication to service.

As we begin this new chapter, let us continue to support one another, embrace every opportunity to learn, and work together for a better and stronger community.

BukSU Talakag students gather today for an orientation focused on following more stricter orders from identification checks, baggage inspections, and vehicle checks promoting awareness within the campus community.

The orientation highlights the importance of following the implementation of all the precautionary measures, in order to maintain a safe and orderly campus.

IMPORTANT REMINDER

Students who are currently beneficiaries of any national government-funded scholarship and/or cyclical financial assistance program are not eligible for TES, including but not limited to:

CHED Merit Scholarship
CHED StuFAPs
NCIP Scholarship
DOST Scholarship
Ongoing TES
Tulong Dunong Program (TDP)

Submission of the application and required supporting documents is mandatory for documentation, validation, and reporting purposes. However, submission of an application does not guarantee approval or inclusion in the TES Program.

The final evaluation and awarding of TES slots shall be based on the eligibility requirements, prioritization guidelines under UniFAST Memorandum Circular No. 01, Series of 2026, and the availability of funds.

Students are advised to accomplish the Google Form and upload complete and accurate supporting documents within the prescribed application period.

ANNOUNCEMENT

All classes will be conducted asynchronously on August 14, 2026, pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Mayor’s Notice on the Suspension of Classes due to the prevailing heat index.

Students are advised to regularly check their respective Google Classrooms for announcements, learning materials, and assigned activities from their instructors.

Administrative offices will remain open to assist with any inquiries and provide necessary support.

Bukidnon State University (BukSU) Talakag Campus participated in the Project Procurement Management Plan (PPMP) and Program of Receipts and Expenditures (PRE) Preparation Workshop held on August 12–13, 2026, at the University Auditorium.

The two-day workshop brought together university personnel and representatives from various campuses and academic units to strengthen institutional planning, procurement management, and financial programming.

Representing the BukSU Talakag Campus was a delegation headed by Dr. Dan Dave Abaton. The delegation included Program Chairs Ms. Eva L. Sisles and Ms. Airiel Beam Aceret, Student Affairs and Services (SAS) Coordinator Mr. Andy Steven Belisario, and Procurement In-Charge Ms. Cathy Baillo.

The activity further highlights the BukSU Talakag Campus’s continuing commitment to promoting responsible resource management, strengthening organizational efficiency, and supporting quality education and effective public service.

The Campus Emergency Response Team (CERT) reminds all students to stay safe and take extra precautions during this period.

Please remember:

💧 Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water even when you are not thirsty.

🧢 Protect yourself from direct sunlight by using an umbrella, cap, or other protective clothing.

🏫 Stay in cool, shaded, or well-ventilated areas whenever possible.
🧘 Take regular breaks, especially after physical activities or prolonged exposure to heat.

🍽️ Do not skip meals and avoid excessive intake of caffeinated or sugary drinks.

🚨 Watch out for signs of heat exhaustion such as dizziness, headache, excessive sweating, weakness, nausea, or fainting.

If you or someone around you experiences these symptoms, immediately stop the activity, move to a cool place, hydrate, and seek assistance from CERT or the nearest designated emergency response personnel in the campus.
