Brainwave Preschool Academy is an early childhood development center for kids with ages 1.6 to 4.10. Waldorf education, also known as Steiner education, is based on the educational philosophy of Rudolf Steiner, the founder of anthroposophy. Its pedagogy emphasizes the role of imagination in learning, striving to integrate holistically the intellectual, practical, and artistic development of pupils. Moreover, this school provides personalized attention and specialization to develop and discover the students’ multiple intelligences and potentials. In preparation for the opening of this school, one of the owners of the academy went to Baguio City for an International training in Early Childhood Education and did benchmarking in some of the International Schools located in Baguio City and Metro Manila. Additionally, the teachers who will be teaching in this school are currently having their training to be fully equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to perform an excellent job. Magalona, Education Program Supervisor for Early Childhood Education in Tagum City Division, also one of the owners of the school. The plan to build this school is due to the passion and commitment of the owners to develop children who are strong in the following domains: cognitive, psychomotor, and affective. The owners of this school are licensed professional teachers with years of experience in running successful businesses, and overcoming difficult obstacles. As a matter of fact, they are not new in the business. Before this plan has been made, they have been managing a tutorial and review center for twelve years which is known as Brain Wave Leaner’s Station. At the moment, this tutorial center is by far the oldest and the most trusted tutorial and review center in Tagum City. This preschool and day care facility is conducive for learning and is accessible to our customers.
