To discern the candidates for the Student Leadership and Government positions who are genuinely committed to leadership from those seeking recognition, TCNCHS held its Miting De Avance in the school gymnasium on February 10, 2026.

Candidates faced the student body to introduce their platforms and participate in a rigorous debate, ensuring that voters base their choices on actual merit rather than mere social media popularity or empty trends.

Meanwhile, SSLG Adviser Mr. King James Saludares commended the courage of the aspirants, noting that the presence of all candidates signifies a high standard of leadership for the current school year.

"Nadunggan man ninyo nga grabe sila’g mga insights, ug gikisi nato sila’g maayo sa debate, gitagaan nato sila’g mga hot issues and topics, and they answered it with their full potential and knowledge na ilang mahatag," Mr. Saludares stated.

On the other hand, current SSLG President John Jonathan Estrella emphasized that the challenging nature of the debate symbolized the student government's effectiveness in vetting future officers.

"I do hope nga sa maabot nga election, ilahang masuportahan ang dapat nga madaog," Estrella added, highlighting his desire for the student body to choose wisdom over superficiality.

Presidential aspirants Jhon Rascel Alba of A.L.A.B. Partylist, Shaquel Kobe F. Tolentino of H.I.R.A.Y.A. Partylist, and Carl Joy Quintana of B.I.D.A. Partylist shared their perspectives on leadership, focusing on time management, being an example to others, and the drive to make the school a better place.

Voters will head to the polls this February 13 to cast their final ballots, a day that will determine who has the genuine heart to serve and prove that being a president is a serious responsibility, not just a pursuit of clout.
