[๐—ฅ๐—˜๐—”๐——] USeP CARS Strengthens Community Partnerships Through Dual Memorandum of Agreement Signing for Sustainable Agriculture and Agroforestry

The University of Southeastern Philippines College of Agriculture and Related Sciences (USeP CARS) is expanding its efforts in community development by forming two significant partnerships within the same week. These collaborations reinforce its commitment to sustainable agriculture and rural empowerment.

On November 19, 2025, the College formalized its collaboration with the Serbisyo Uban sa Banikanhonโ€“Baybayanong Nagkahiusa (SUBANG) Foundation through a Memorandum of Agreement signing held at USeP TMC, Mabini Unit. The partnership launches PAg-ATIMANโ€”Program of Agriculture on Agroforestry Technology Integrated Management Approach for Sustainable Natural Resourcesโ€”an ambitious initiative designed to advance agroforestry practices, strengthen environmental stewardship, and promote science-driven management of natural resources in rural communities.

Just two days later, on November 21, 2025, the College entered into another important agreement, this time with the Assumption College of Nabunturan through its Community Extension Office and Rural Institute Program. This partnership supports the community of Barangay Anislagan in Nabunturan, Davao de Oro, by providing livelihood assistance, capacity-building opportunities, and science-based training in sustainable agriculture and forestry. Through this collaboration, farmers and rural households will benefit from practical, community-centered solutions that boost productivity while maintaining environmental integrity.

These two agreements reflect CARSโ€™ unwavering dedication to connecting academic expertise with grassroots realities. By strengthening relationships with foundations, educational institutions, and local communities, USeP CARS reinforces its mission to nurture resilient and self-sustaining rural sectors. These partnerships serve as powerful reminders that true development flourishes when knowledge, collaboration, and community spirit work together toward a greener, stronger, and more sustainable future for everyone.
