The Culmination Program is conducted not only because it is the final requirement, but because it plays a vital role in the holistic development of every student. It provides a space where academic learning meets real-world application a space where students can demonstrate confidence, communication, professionalism, and creativity in one meaningful event.

Through 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭 𝟏.𝟒.𝟔 students are challenged to articulate their identity, showcase their personal branding, and communicate ideas with clarity and impact. This component includes four performance categories: Drama, Vlogging, Newscasting, and Sports Call, each designed to enhance their creativity, confidence, and communication skills.

The 𝗠𝗿. 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝘀. 𝗖𝗔𝗘𝗗 Competition, on the other hand, serves as a training ground for leadership, confidence, stage presence, and interpersonal communication qualities that employers value and expect.

Beyond being a requirement, the CAED Culmination is a transformative experience one that molds character, strengthens professionalism, and affirms the students’ readiness for the world beyond the campus walls.

Home Sweet Home! From the Land of Smiles, Thailand

The last student participant of Batch 11 of the SEA Teacher Exchange Program has officially returned home, marking the successful completion of a truly remarkable one-month international teaching journey. Through academic engagement and cultural immersion abroad, the batch gained valuable global exposure—an opportunity experienced by only a select few.

Notably, UMTC’s Batch 11 is the first SEA Teacher cohort deployed to Thailand, highlighting the program’s expanding international reach.

Congratulations to our faculty exchange participant, and welcome back, Dr. Imelda Isaal!

Dr. Isaal, a faculty member of the Department of Business Administration Education, has successfully completed her one-month faculty exchange program at Islamic University of Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari Kalimantan (UNISKA), Indonesia where she taught Business and Economics courses at the host university.

It may be recalled that in 2024, the University of Mindanao also sent two esteemed faculty members to the same host institution for a month-long academic engagement.

This continuing partnership demonstrates the University of Mindanao’s strong commitment to internationalization, in alignment with its vision of becoming a globally recognized institution.

The University of Mindanao (UM) has achieved another significant milestone in global recognition, debuting in the expanded AppliedHE Private University Ranking All Asia. Following its success in the AppliedHE ASEAN ranking last year, the University has dramatically broadened its reach by securing the 188th rank in Asia and an impressive 17th rank in the Philippines.

This achievement is a clear validation of UM's strategic commitment to holistic quality and global competitiveness. The AppliedHE ranking assesses institutions across six crucial pillars: Teaching and Learning, Employability, Research, Community Engagement, Internationalization, and Institutional Reputation. UM’s strong performance across these diverse metrics confirms its leadership not only in delivering quality education but also in creating measurable, positive impact within the community.

This recognition affirms UM's continuous pursuit of excellence across all facets of university operation—from empowering its graduates for the workforce to deepening its research and community involvement. From the Land of the Ascending Dragon to the Land of a Thousand Islands — HOME SWEET HOME!

After four weeks of teaching, learning, and cultural exchange abroad, the 11th Batch of SEA-Teacher Exchange participants has finally returned home! These aspiring educators proudly represented the University of Mindanao Tagum College and the Philippines during their practicum in partner universities across Southeast Asia.

The SEA-Teacher Exchange Program 2025, an initiative of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO), provides pre-service education students with the opportunity to gain international teaching experience through cross-country practicums. The program aims to enhance participants’ pedagogical skills, English proficiency, and intercultural competence while expanding their regional and global perspectives.

Through this transformative experience, our SEA-Teachers have not only honed their craft as future educators but also served as ambassadors of Filipino excellence and hospitality in the global academic community.

As the University of Mindanao Tagum College celebrates the vibrant spirit of the Intramurals, its internationalization efforts continue to soar. Dr. Imelda Isaal of the Department of Business Administration and Education embarks on a one-month Faculty Exchange Program at the Islamic University of Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari (UNISKA) in Banjarmasin, Indonesia, from October 25 to November 2025.

This initiative marks the second batch of UMTC faculty members to take part in an international exchange program, a milestone that strengthens UMTC’s global partnerships and underscores its commitment to academic excellence and collaboration.
