Meet 𝑱𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒏 𝑹𝒊𝒐 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒍𝒂, 𝑹𝑷𝒉, a proud Tagum Doctors College International (TDCI) alumna and now a registered 𝐀𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐭.

From passing the Knowledge Assessment of Pharmaceutical Sciences (KAPS) examination on the first attempt to adapting to advanced pharmacy practices involving medicinal cannabis and monoclonal antibodies, Jannen’s journey is a testament to resilience, determination, and professional excellence.

Today, as a registered Australian pharmacist, she believes that success is not the finish line but the beginning of greater responsibility. She now aspires to become an accredited immunizing and prescribing pharmacist, continuing her commitment to lifelong learning and patient care.

Her inspiring story proves that with Tagum Doctors College International, dreams can become reality. At TDCI, students are empowered not only to succeed academically but also to become globally competent professionals who make a meaningful impact wherever they go.

It’s overwhelming to look back and realize how we survived our school years despite the hardships and struggles we went through. Those nights with barely any sleep, the sacrifices we offered, the moments we almost gave up but none of it was wasted. Because today, we stand as professionals, each of us succeeding in the field we once only dreamed of.

This is your moment! We are humbly asking all the graduates and professionals from all departments to join us in TDCI ALUMNI ELECTION OF OFFICERS VIA ZOOM. We know that each of us are very busy with our different errands of life. So we find a much comfortable way so that everyone can participate.

In light of the recent earthquake that has deeply affected our communities, we encourage everyone to exercise responsibility and compassion in their words and actions. Let us avoid sharing videos, photos, or posts that may cause distress or violate the privacy of those directly affected. Our priority should be the safety and well-being of our families, colleagues, and neighbors.

During these challenging times, the spirit of solidarity and empathy must prevail. Let us extend genuine care and psychosocial support to those who are struggling emotionally and mentally.

Furthermore, we urge everyone to verify the authenticity of any information before sharing it online. The spread of misinformation and exaggerated news only heightens fear and anxiety within the community. Let us strive to be sources of truth, calm, and hope.

𝗧𝗗𝗖𝗜 𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗔𝗟 | The Earth Didn’t Shake as Much as the Jokes Did

It’s one thing to find relief in a class suspension, but it’s another to turn the aftermath of a natural disaster into a joke.

The recent 7.6 magnitude earthquake in Manay, Davao Oriental, has left many shaken—not just physically, but emotionally and mentally. While some of us are counting the silver lining of a sudden break from school, there are others who, sadly, choose to trivialize the situation by making memes and insensitive jokes about the earthquake.

The irony is hard to ignore—people, especially students, celebrate a day off from classes while some are struggling with the real-life consequences of this disaster. What may seem like harmless humor to some is, in reality, a sign of detachment from the gravity of the situation. Behind the laughter, there are families facing loss, homes destroyed, and communities in desperate need of aid and support.

It’s time to reflect on the importance of empathy. While humor can be a way of coping with stress, there’s a fine line between lighthearted relief and being dismissive of the hardships others are enduring. The earthquake may have shaken the ground beneath our feet, but it shouldn’t shake our sense of compassion.

Instead of making light of the situation, let’s focus on being part of the solution.

Following the recent earthquake that affected Davao del Norte, Tagum Doctors College, Inc. (TDCI) would like to inform the public that all students and employees have been safely accounted for.

As a precautionary measure, classes at all levels are hereby suspended until further notice. Likewise, all offices will remain closed to allow the Engineering Safety Team to conduct a thorough assessment of any possible damage and to ensure the structural integrity of the entire campus.

The safety and well-being of our TDCI community remain our top priority. We urge everyone to stay alert and follow further advisories.
