🌟 Last Friday, October 18, 2024, our exceptional SNED teachers—Mrs. Elgrace S. Tana, Mrs. Rhodora Joy L. Hegyi, Mrs. Lorelei G. Limoran, Mrs. Jonalith Humag, and Mr. Joemar S. Padrique—had the wonderful opportunity to facilitate a session during the SLAC at F. Dela Cruz-P. Sagun Elementary School in Mankilam, Tagum City. The topic, "Handling Learners with Special Needs & Basic Sign Language," allowed them to share their invaluable insights and strategies for creating inclusive classrooms.

Their passion and commitment were evident as they engaged with fellow educators, fostering meaningful discussions and hands-on activities. It was inspiring to see the collaborative spirit and dedication to understanding the diverse needs of all learners, ensuring every student has the support they deserve.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the host principal, Mam Cynthia G. Capala for her unwavering support, and to Mrs. Leonila C. Añonuevo, School Principal IV of Magugpo Pilot Imelda Elementary School, for allowing our teachers to share their knowledge. A special thanks also goes to our Division SNED Focal, Dr. Nila L. This wonderful event took place on September 30, 2024, at the Tagum City Historical and Cultural Center, highlighting the talents and creativity of our students. It’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase the inclusive programs at Magugpo Pilot Imelda Elementary School SPED Center, where every student can shine.

We, the SNED teachers, are incredibly grateful to the Rotary Club of Tagum Golden L.A.C.E.S., led by their President Mam Erma Acdal- Bendigo, for their generous initiative in providing free Developmental Pediatrician Assessments to 15 pupils of Magugpo Pilot Imelda Elementary School SPED Center. This act of kindness is a significant step towards supporting the special needs education community, and it wouldn't have been possible without the unwavering support of our dedicated Principal, Ma'am Leonila C. Anoñuevo.

A special thank you also goes to Dr. Ana Katherina Rodriguez Go from Metro Davao Medical Research Center, Inc., Bajada, Davao City, for conducting these essential assessments. Your expertise and commitment to the well-being of our students are deeply appreciated. We extend our sincerest gratitude to the ATIMAN Program, led by its focal Ma'am Martha Lou Cris P. Camus, in the CSWD of Tagum City, under the leadership of Mayor Rey T. Uy, for their unwavering support in providing free assessments for our qualified DAVRAA Special Needs Education Athletes. Their commitment to inclusivity and empowerment has made a significant impact on the lives of these remarkable athletes, enabling them to receive the necessary support and resources to excel in their endeavors. ORIENTATION AND DEPLOYMENT

Bachelor of Special Needs Education Pre-service Teachers (PSTs) of the University of Southeastern Philippines-Tagum Unit gather for a transformative orientation and deployment at laboratory school, Magugpo Pilot Imelda Elementary School-SPED Center, together with the Field Adviser, Ma'am Sarrah Mae V. Priagola, MPIES School Principal IV, Ma'am Leonila c. Anonuevo, Sir Jr. F. Villa-Abrille, Site coordinator, and laboratory school's cooperating teachers, last February 9, 2024.

"Filled with passion and minds brimming with knowledge, these aspiring educators stand on the threshold of making a profound impact on the future generation", the MPIES School Principal IV, Mrs. Leonila C. Anonuevo, highlighted in her exceptional welcome remarks. Guided by dedication and a commitment to excellence, she added that they embark on this journey enthusiastically and purposefully.

As they immerse themselves in the orientation program, these future teachers eagerly absorb insights, roles of PSTs, and strategies to navigate the complexities of the classroom, as presented by one of the field advisers, Mrs. Sarrah Mae V. Priagola-MAEd. Marking the beginning of another quest of great devotion and limitless potential, from lesson planning to classroom management techniques, the PSTs equip themselves with the tools essential for nurturing young minds and fostering a conducive learning environment.

Meanwhile, Sir Jr. F. Villa-Abrille, Site Coordinator, read the assigned respective classrooms and cooperating teachers of each PST and deployed on the same day at the said lab school as Sir Jr. F. Villa-Abrille, Site Coordinator, read the assignments of PSTs’ respective classrooms and cooperating teachers.

Indeed, the pre-deployment orientation marks the beginning of a professional journey and fosters a sense of community between the Bachelor of Special Needs Pre-service Teachers and the staff of Magugpo Pilot Imelda Elementary School-SPED Center. Through collaboration and shared values, they lay the foundation for a collaborative effort to enrich the inclusive educational experience of every child with special needs. Together, they exemplify the power of education to unite hearts and minds in pursuit of a brighter tomorrow.

**Weekly Play Day Empowers Special Needs Education Learners**

In a heartwarming display of inclusion and empowerment, our weekly Play Day for special needs education learners brings joy and camaraderie every Friday. With a focus on creating a safe and supportive environment, students engage in various activities tailored to their unique needs and abilities. From sensory play sessions to interactive games promoting social interaction, each activity is carefully designed to foster growth and development while celebrating individual strengths. Through this initiative, students are not only building essential life skills but also forging lasting friendships, proving that every child, regardless of ability, deserves the opportunity to thrive and shine.
As the Play Day gains momentum, it continues to inspire the community with its message of inclusion and diversity, proving that every child deserves the opportunity to flourish and be celebrated for who they are.

Steering the heartwarming festivities, SNED teachers at Magugpo Pilot Imelda Elementary School SPED Center orchestrated a poignant moment by bestowing elegant sashes and vibrant balloons upon participants of the King and Queen of Hearts 2024 event.
With meticulous care and unwavering dedication, they adorned each participant with regal sashes, symbolizing the essence of their roles, while filling the air with colorful balloons to amplify the jubilant atmosphere.
Through their thoughtful gestures, the SNED teachers underscored the importance of inclusion and recognition, elevating the celebration to a truly memorable occasion.
