Micah is kind.

Josie is warm.
Sometimes Iโm Lovely and Avril, only loud with the people I get comfortable with. Sometimes I tend to be frank like Honey and Claire. Sometimes I laugh like Karyl and Wennie, but sometimes I make other people laugh like Kate and Frances.
Other times Iโm a one-call-away friend like Ivory, but other times Iโm James and Alvin, always missing out. There are moments where I feel like JB, laughing with only three "HAHAHAs". But there are also moments where I feel like Francel, always there, always on the go.
There are days I borrow someoneโs patience because mine runs out too quickly. There are days I find myself speaking with someone elseโs courage because my own voice feels small.
Iโve learned resilience from the people who stayed when life became inconvenient. Iโve learned softness from those who chose understanding over judgment. Iโve learned to dream a little bigger because some people believed in me long before I believed in myself.
The people I love have left fingerprints on the way I speak, the way I forgive, the way I comfort, and the way I hope. Some taught me through their presence. Others, through their absence. Some became lessons I carry instead of people I keep.
Maybe thatโs what growing up really isโnot becoming someone entirely new, but quietly collecting pieces of the people who have changed you. A phrase you unknowingly borrowed. A habit you inherited. A kindness you watched so often that it became your own.
When people say, โYou remind me of someone,โ I donโt take it as losing myself.
I take it as proof that love leaves traces.
Because I was never made from one story alone.
I am a mosaic of every person who loved me well, every person I admired, every person who challenged me, and every person who helped shape the person Iโm still becoming.
