National Women’s Month Celebration 2026 💜

The National Service Training Program – Literacy Training Service of NDC Tagum Foundation, Inc. proudly joins the celebration of the National Women’s Month with the theme:

“Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas!”
March 1–31, 2026

This celebration honors the strength, leadership, and vital role of women in education, community service, and nation-building. As advocates of literacy and volunteerism, we continue to empower women and promote gender equality and an inclusive society.

‎The day of nurturing a million dreams with a handful of care and a heart full of love.
‎
‎Hope is not merely an idea, it lives on the hearts of every child in our country. With proper guidance, their journey would be great. By strengthening their wings, they could face any force of wind, even a storm of challenges will look easy on them. Educating them with love and humility is crucial for us future teachers, they should know how to love by simply looking at us. Aristotle once said "Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all".

‎On the Third day of February, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-six. Thirty students pursuing a career as an educator visited a small yet incredible kindergarten center of barangay Dumlan, Maco, Davao de Oro. With distinguished guests, friends and family. They demonstrated their learning from theoretical basis to real-life application as a compliance for their National Service Training Program (NSTP). The program flow was well-executed but partly stressed out as technical errors arose in unexpected times. Challenges showed up and tried to break their spirit. But despite the circumstances they have encountered, their passion shouts louder than the voices of their hardships. Throughout the program, they dedicated their hearts and educated the children with loving care, compassion, and a high level of understanding. Also, they exhibited a great example of camaraderie among members as they handled the situation with united force.

‎In light of this, it was surely a great day to learn and to share, to test the collective knowledge in the practical world. Teachers are indeed real life heroes, they planted seeds that will benefit the future generations. Hence, practicing this particular career is a noble pursuit to sustain the hope of our nation, as it can affect one's life. In this way, we can build a monument of change for a greater purpose.

‎The participants of this particular event would like to extend their appreciation to the following individuals; Agnes Laput, Joebert Dilag, Crizdi Mae Abrenica, Brgy captain hon. Pedro Atablanco jr., brgy. Counselor hon. Gregorio Sarsale, ma'am Kimberly Lausa, daycare instructor. Without these people, the event would be impossible.

LINGKOD: BAYANIHAN sa Mapaang
NSTP–LTS Community Outreach and Environmental Care Program

The NDC Tagum Foundation Inc, Inc. through its National Service Training Program – Literacy Training Service (NSTP–LTS), successfully conducted LINGKOD: BAYANIHAN on January 29 at Barangay Mapaang, Municipality of Maco, bringing together education, service, and environmental responsibility in one meaningful community engagement.

The activity was made possible through the full support of the school administration of NDC Tagum, the NSTP Office, and the active participation of NSTP Officers and first-year NSTP–LTS students, who served as volunteers, facilitators, and youth advocates throughout the program.

Strong institutional support was also extended by Sir Joebert Dilag, Head of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), and Ma’am Crizdi Mae Abrenica, whose guidance and encouragement contributed to the successful implementation of the outreach initiative.

The program was conducted in close coordination with the Barangay Government of Mapaang, led by the Punong Barangay, together with the SK Chairperson and SK Council, and with the presence and support of Ma’am Agnes Laput, NSTP Adviser. The activity also received the backing of the Municipal Government of Maco, under the leadership of Hon. Arthur Carlos Voltaire R. Rimando, Municipal Mayor, reaffirming the LGU’s commitment to youth development and community empowerment.

Key activities included day care learning sessions, interactive games for children, distribution of school supplies, and a community clean-up drive, all made possible through the generosity of partner sponsors and supporters, whose contributions both in cash and in kind greatly benefited the 28 child beneficiaries of the program.

LINGKOD: BAYANIHAN stands as a testament to the power of collaboration between educational institutions, local government units, and community partners in nurturing children, empowering communities, and protecting the environment.
