FCES Strengthens Community Spirit Through Brigada Eskwela Advocacy on Air

In line with the nationwide implementation of Brigada Eskwela, FCES proudly took part in an advocacy campaign today aired live over Brigada News FM 97.5 through the program hosted by radio anchor Kyle Alia.

Leading the advocacy campaign was FCES School Principal IV, Dr. Joy Jade E. Relos, who emphasized on air the true essence and importance of Brigada Eskwela as more than just a clean-up activity.

Dr. Relos also expressed her gratitude to all stakeholders who continuously extend their support to the school through donations, voluntary services, and active participation in school programs and initiatives. She further encouraged everyone to take part in the activity, stressing that even simple acts of support can create a meaningful impact on the learners’ educational journey.

Joining the live radio advocacy were Brigada Eskwela Coordinator Mary Jane Tumulac, SPTA President Harrizon Bancud, and SPTA Auditor Emmanuel Quijano, who all shared their messages of support and commitment to the success of Brigada Eskwela. They collectively encouraged parents and community members to volunteer their time, skills, and resources for the betterment of the school and its learners.

The advocacy campaign reflected FCES’ unwavering commitment to fostering strong partnerships and community involvement, proving that through collaboration and shared responsibility, quality education can be further strengthened.

With Gratitude and Hope: FCES Marks Leadership Transition

Gratitude, recognition, and new beginnings unfolded tonight as the FCES family gathered for the Despedida Program of former School Principal Ma’am Merlyn M. Kabingue and Bienvenida for our newly installed School Principal IV Dr. Joy Jade E. Relos.

The meaningful event became a celebration of leadership transitions, honoring the legacy and service of Ma’am Merlyn, whose dedication and guidance have greatly contributed to the growth of FCES. Teachers and SPTA expressed heartfelt appreciation for her commitment to the school and its learners. As she takes on a new chapter as the newly assigned principal of Suaybaguio Riña Elementary School, the FCES family extends its warmest wishes for her continued success.

At the same time, the program warmly welcomed Dr. Joy Jade E. Relos, whose arrival signals a fresh season of progress and excellence for the school. With her dynamic leadership and passion for education, the FCES community looks forward to achieving greater milestones under her stewardship.

The occasion was further honored by the presence of PSDS/Matrix Supervisor Dr. Maria Elena C. Ferido, who shared inspiring words and support for both school leaders during this significant transition.

📚 FCES launches ‘Summer Big Brother: Reading is Fun Season 1’

Florentino Catalan Elementary School successfully conducted the launching of The Summer Big Brother: Reading is Fun Season 1, a literacy development initiative spearheaded by the LGU of Tagum City. The program aims to enhance the reading abilities of young learners through the assistance of trained reading volunteers who were engaged to support teachers in the implementation of the ARAL Reading Program.

Facilitated by our school’s ARAL Coordinator, Ma’am Ruth Castro and School Principal IV, Dr. Joy Jade E. Relos, the opening program was graced by the presence and support of Brgy. Kagawad David Catalan, representatives from LGU of Tagum City, the reading volunteers, FCES Reading Teachers, parents, and pupil beneficiaries from Kindergarten and Grade One, signifying the strong partnership of the barangay, local government, and school community in advancing literacy among young learners.

During the program, Ma’am Relos, emphasized the significance of reading as a fundamental skill essential to every learner’s academic growth and future success. She likewise conveyed her sincere appreciation to the LGU of Tagum City for their continued support and valuable contribution to the school’s literacy programs.

This initiative reflects the strong collaboration between the local government and the education sector in promoting quality learning opportunities for children. Through collective efforts, the school remains hopeful that more young learners will develop confidence, competence, and a love for reading. 💛

📣 🚗 Bringing the School to the Community: FCES Recorrida for Brigada Eskwela and Oplan Balik Eskwela 2026

Today, FCES successfully conducted a Recorrida Campaign in preparation for Brigada Eskwela and Oplan Balik Eskwela.

This activity was spearheaded by our ever hands-on, and dedicated School Principal IV, Dr. Joy Jade E. Relos, together with the Brigada Eskwela School Coordinator, Campaign Committee, with the full cooperation and support of our Supreme Elementary Learner Government Officers, School Parents-Teachers Association, and the officials of Barangay Cuambogan.

During the recorrida, the team visited different puroks and far-flung corners of the barangay to personally inform and encourage parents, learners, and community members about the upcoming opening of classes. They shared important information regarding school enrollment, Brigada Eskwela schedules, school readiness programs, and the significance of every stakeholder’s participation in ensuring a safe, clean, and learner-friendly school environment.

This initiative reflects the strong partnership between the school and the community in promoting quality education and making sure that no learner will be left behind as we welcome another productive school year.

Together, let us continue to support Brigada Eskwela and Oplan Balik Eskwela for a brighter future of our children.

Strengthening Education Through Learning Systems Reform Policies Orientation

This morning marked the start of the whole-day Learning Systems Reform Policies Orientation for all public school teachers, conducted through a nationwide synchronous virtual orientation spearheaded by the Department of Education (DepEd). Schools nationwide independently gathered their teaching personnel and simultaneously conducted their own orientation while participating in the virtual session.

The activity aims to strengthen teachers’ understanding of the current educational reforms and prepare schools for the implementation of major changes in the educational system, including the implementation of the three-term school calendar this School Year.

The school based orientation facilitated by our newly-installed School Principal IV, Dr. Joy Jade E. Relos, whose leadership and dedication continue to inspire the teaching force toward excellence and innovation in education.

We are also honored and grateful for the visit and support of PSDS Ricardo Remoreras, whose presence truly encouraged and motivated our teachers throughout the activity.

The whole-day orientation includes important sessions and activities such as:
