As the 𝟑𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐀𝐏𝐉𝐀 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐏𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐳 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 officially commences today, April 27, 2026, at the 𝗦𝗠𝗫 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮, the TDCI Psychology community proudly sends its representatives to take part in this prestigious academic event.

Representing TDCI are 𝗖𝗿𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗕𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁, 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼, and 𝗙𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗝𝘂𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗴—four passionate and dedicated Psychology students who have prepared diligently for this moment. With their knowledge, determination, and commitment to excellence, they are ready to compete at the national level, showcasing not only their academic competence but also their passion for the field of psychology.
This competition is more than just a test of knowledge—it is a celebration of intellectual growth, perseverance, and the pursuit of excellence in the discipline. As they step onto this national stage, they carry with them the pride, support, and unwavering encouragement of the entire TDCI community.

Delegates have arrived in Manila, Philippines, for the 𝟑𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 - 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 (𝐏𝐀𝐏𝐉𝐀) 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. The event kicks off today, running from 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟳–𝟮𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. Day 1 is hosted at the 𝗦𝗠𝗫 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝗠𝗢𝗔), followed by Day 2 which will be held at 𝗗𝗲 𝗟𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆-𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮.

The convention features a diverse lineup of activities, including plenary sessions, workshops, a national thesis competition, and ethical debates. Beyond the academic rigor, delegates will also showcase their creativity through a songwriting competition and dance battles. A highlight of the event is a special session featuring Filipino actress and dedicated mental health advocate, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐉𝐨𝐝𝐢 𝐒𝐭𝐚. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚, who will share her insights as a guest speaker.

This assembly is designed to bring together psychology undergraduates from across the country, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and intellectual growth. By bridging the gap between classroom theory and real-world application, the convention serves as a catalyst for the next generation of mental health professionals.

The TDCI Psychology participants continue to bring us pride! The department was awarded 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 for the 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭, featuring the project titled “PAGPAKIGBAHIN: 𝗔 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗶𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀,” which was presented during the 𝐋𝐀𝐖𝐈𝐆 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 event—a Mindanao Mental Health Summit, organized by the Samahan ng Mag-aaral sa Sikolohiyang Filipino (SaMaSikoFil) of Ateneo de Davao University (AdDu), held last March 27–28, 2026 at AdDU, centering on the theme: “𝑾𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒐𝒂𝒏 𝑰𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒚, 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑾𝒆𝒍𝒍-𝒃𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝑷𝒔𝒚𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒚.”

The project was advocated by our proud psychies—Klaire Jaelou Quijada, Justin Max Carcallas, and Janica Pelone, with Ms. Klaire earning 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 as the 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫.

This achievement serves as a reminder that TDCI Psychology is more than just an academic program; it molds creative minds to design and implement impactful initiatives for those in need.

On March 27–28, 2026, the TDCI Psychology students participated in the Mental Health Summit, LAWIG 2026. This gathering highlighted the important role of psychology in understanding our diverse communities and promoting collective well-being. It served as a space where students, educators, professionals, and community leaders came together to exchange ideas, reflect on lived experiences, and explore how psychological knowledge can be rooted in local culture and realities.

Through dialogue, collaboration, and cultural appreciation, LAWIG 2026 reminded us that well-being is not only an individual journey but also a shared responsibility shaped by community, history, and identity. By weaving together research, tradition, and advocacy, we strengthen our commitment to building more inclusive, compassionate, and resilient communities across Mindanao.

What better way to conclude the celebration than with a night of magic and wonder? After an intimate gathering the day before, the Psychies now stepped into the spotlight, showcasing their elegance and grandeur.

Embracing the theme “Enchanted Forest,”they brought a mystical world to life through their captivating costumes and dazzling dresses. Each look embodied mythical creatures, transforming the venue into a realm of fantasy and enchantment.

The night was not only a feast for the eyes but also a showcase of talent and intellect. From singing, acting, and dancing performances to the thrilling That’s My TomPsych competition, every moment reflected the Psychies’ creativity, wit, and passion.

It was truly a remarkable celebration—one that will be remembered as a night of brilliance and magic.

Tagum Doctors’ College Psychology Department officially kicked off the first day of Psych Days 2026, uniting the department through fun and exciting activities held in Apokon, Tagum City, on March 20, 2026.

Psych Days 2026 began with great enthusiasm as the Dean of the Psychology Department, Maria Dayanara Bianca D. Grecia, MPsy, RPsy, RPm, delivered an encouraging opening message that excites the participating students.

It was a day filled with enjoyment, highlighted by a talent show and the Psy-Lympics set of activities designed to measure the students’ intellect, cooperation, and creativity.

Tagum Doctors College, Inc. Psychology Department joins in the 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝟐 of 𝐋𝐀𝐖𝐈𝐆 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. Following a meaningful and insightful first day, the learning continues as participants engage in another set of thought-provoking discussions and shared experiences.

Today’s highlight features an engaging talk by Mx. Hadji S. Balajadia on “The Tics of Philippine Politics: Exploring the Cycle of Appointment and Disappointment,” offering a critical and reflective perspective on the patterns shaping the country’s political landscape.

As LAWIG 2026 comes to a close, this final day serves as a culmination of ideas, connections, and realizations—strengthening the commitment of Psychology students to understand society and contribute to community well-being through informed and empowered perspectives.

Tagum Doctors College, Inc. Psychology Department actively participates on the 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝟏 of 𝐋𝐀𝐖𝐈𝐆 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. Facilitated by Ateneo de Davao University with the theme: “Weaving Threads of Mindanaoan Identity, Community, and Well-being through Psychology,”. Interesting discourse is delivered by esteemed speakers such as Fr. Karel S. San Juan, SJ, on his topic, “Pamumunong Makatao: The Psychology of Leadership Rooted in Place and People.”

Today marks the beginning of a meaningful gathering of Psychology students from various colleges and universities across Mindanao, fostering connection, shared learning, and a deeper appreciation of Mindanaoan identity and well-being through the lens of psychology.
