We are thrilled and honored to have been hailed CHAMPION in Project W.A.T.C.H. National Search for the 2022 Best Implementer in Elementary Category. This recognition is a testament of hard work and dedication of the entire school community. From our school head, teachers, non-teaching staff, PTA officials, parents and to our students and stakeholders, everyone has played a crucial role in our success.

We are grateful for the opportunity to showcase the innovative and effective practices that have helped us excel. Winning this award is not only a great achievement of our school, but also a validation of our commitment in providing the best possible education for our students.

Thank you to all those who have supported us along the way.

To our very supportive division officials (previous & present); SDS - Dr. Josephine L. Fadul and Dr. Alona C. Uy, ASDS - Dr. Melanie P. Estacio and Dr. Neil Michael A. De Asis, SGOD Chief - Dr. Josefina B. Palaca, CID Chief - Cristine C. Bagacay, PW Division Focals - Sir Kenneth Deligencia and Sir Fritz Bundang, to the following PSDSs Dr. Mervin G. Salmon, Dr. Siony Y. Salva and Dr. Geraldine B. Canlas, the former principal who started it all and to our current School Principal III, Dr. Gemma C. DepEd Tagum City proudly stands at the forefront of educational excellence, earning well-deserved recognition from the DepEd Central Office through Project Watch 2022.

This prestigious accolade, outlined in CO-EPS No 1-232 s 2024, marks a significant milestone in the pursuit of academic distinction, showing the cityโ€™s herald of success with a flair for innovation and dedication to nurturing the virtues of punctuality and honesty.

Four elementary schools as exemplary institutions were recognized:

1. Apokon Elementary School - Champion

2. Magugpo Pilot Central Elementary School - 2nd Runner-Up

3. Mangga Elem School - 5th Runner Up

4. Magugpo Pilot Imelda ES - SPED Center - 9th Runner Up

This award recognizes the academic accomplishments and commitment to action, creative thinking, timeliness, and, most importantly, honesty as the fundamental principles the whole school community shared in enhancing the learning environment and encouraging an open and sincere culture among stakeholders and students.

The success of these schools is attributed to the visionary leadership of their school heads, with unwavering work ethics, and the great support from stakeholders, parents, and students that have helped them reach new standards of excellence, reaffirming the pride for Tagum City and sculpted a legacy with the spirit of accountability and integrity and a promise of progress.
