𝕃𝕆𝕆𝕂 || 𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐄 𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐇𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐒: 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐀 𝐍𝐂 𝐈𝐈 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐀𝐑𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏

To help boost the local coffee scene, PESO Panabo recently held an orientation for the Barista NC II Training Program. This program was led by 𝘔𝘴. 𝘊𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘦 𝘌𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘴𝘢, with help from facilitator 𝘔𝘴. 𝘏𝘢𝘻𝘦𝘭 𝘉𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘦 and TESACT staff.

This event kicked off training for another batch of students eager to learn the craft of making and serving great coffee. This scholarship program is for those working in coffee shops, those running their own food stands, or local shop owners in Panabo. It helps them turn their passion into a nationally recognized skill with certification.

The orientation gave everyone a clear plan for the training and explained what is needed to earn the National Certificate (NC) II. Key topics included:

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧: Students learned about the goals of the course, such as how to make the perfect espresso, how to steam milk, and how to prepare different hot and cold coffee drinks.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐫: The session highlighted why looking professional and being clean is important in the food industry. Students learned about the proper attire and grooming standards needed for the job.

𝐏𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤: Staff helped the students get all their registration forms and documents requirements ready so the training can start smoothly.

Now that the orientation is over, the students are ready to start their hands-on practice. Soon, they will be officially certified professionals helping to make the coffee culture in our region even better.
