ACES Tagum College nourishes Young Learners Through Feeding Program

TAGUM CITY, PHILIPPINES — A warm meal does more than fill a stomach—it sparks joy, fuels learning, and reminds children their community cares.

In line with its enduring commitment to service, ACES Tagum College, Inc. conducted a heartfelt feeding program for Kindergarten and Grade 1 learners of F. Dela Cruz–P. Sagun Elementary School, turning an ordinary day into one of nourishment and hope.

The initiative was spearheaded by Dr. Nena A. Tedlos, Dean of the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) Program, alongside Xela A. Cano, OSAS Coordinator; Iris V. Genoves, ITE Program Coordinator Adviser; Dr. Maria Carmelita Robles, Dean of the Business Program; Gemma Padasas, Dean of the Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management (IHTM); and the dedicated ACES Tagum College team. Together, they served nutritious meals that not only strengthened young bodies but also uplifted spirits, leaving smiles on the faces of eager learners.

More than just food, the program highlighted the power of collaboration between educational institutions in promoting children’s health and well-being.

The administration, teachers, and learners of F. Dela Cruz–P. Sagun Elementary School expressed heartfelt gratitude to ACES Tagum College, Inc., recognizing the outreach as a meaningful gesture of compassion and solidarity.

Lakip sa iyang mga mahinungdanong kalampusan karong tuiga ang pag-angkon sa Top 2 sa Bracket Elimination sa Palarong Pambansa 2026 (Palaro Tu Agsur) isip representante sa Region XI - Davao Eagles, ug ang pagsungkit sa Gold Medal sa DAVRAA Meet 2026, diin gi-ila siya isip Champion sa Elementary Girls Table Tennis Category.

Pinaagi sa iyang dedikasyon, disiplina, ug padayon nga pagpaningkamot, nagdala si Georgina og dakong dungog sa syudad ug nahimong inspirasyon sa mga kabatan-onang atleta.

MILO Shared Nutrition and Smiles with Learners

F. Dela Cruz–P. Sagun Elementary School warmly welcomed the MILO team during their visit, where they provided free MILO drinks to all our learners.
The activity brought smiles and excitement to the learners while promoting the importance of proper nutrition and an active, healthy lifestyle.

We sincerely thank the MILO team for their generosity, dedication and continued support for our learners. Their thoughtful initiative made the day more enjoyable and memorable for everyone.

𝙊𝙉𝙎𝙀 𝙁𝙇𝙀𝙓

𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐄𝐝 𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐦 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞-𝐡𝐢𝐭 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐨 𝐎𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥

In a swift response to the devastating magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck Davao Occidental on June 8, the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Tagum City recently mobilized a division-wide relief mission to deliver critical financial aid and essential supplies to affected schools and communities.

The initiative, spearheaded by Schools Division Superintendent Alona Uy, successfully gathered cash donations, hygiene kits, clean water, and school supplies.

A contingent from DepEd Tagum, represented by Chiefs Josefina B. Palaca and Christine Bagacay, Division Information Officer Anwar Maadel, and DRRM Officer Marjun Dawal, personally traveled to the area to hand over the relief packages.

The essential goods were warmly received by District Principal In-Charge Jeffrey Charl Ligan and School Head Darnel Drioxane Parsaso on behalf of the educators and students at Camalian Elementary School and Bukid Integrated School in the municipality of Jose Abad Santos.

Reflecting on the purpose of the journey, Bagacay emphasized that their mission went far beyond delivering material donations, stating that they came to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with their fellow educators and communities to assure them that they are not facing the daunting challenge of recovery alone.

The extensive mobilization effort was further strengthened by the active participation of the Philippine Elementary School Principals Association (PESPA) Tagum Chapter, led by President Shiela Grace Barbaso, along with officers Leonila Añonuevo, Leah Gonzales, and Brigitte Asas, underscoring the education sector's collective commitment to service during times of crisis.

Deeply moved by the gesture, local education stakeholders expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the timely intervention, calling the mission a beautiful celebration of compassion and a powerful reminder that the city's core mantra remains true: “We are Tagum! Caring for Others is one of our main concerns.”

As part of its commitment to promoting a safe, secure, and learner-friendly environment, F. Dela Cruz–P. Sagun Elementary School continues to strengthen campus security through its School-Wide CCTV Surveillance System.

Under the leadership of Ma’am Brigitte B. Asas, School Head, CCTV cameras were installed across the campus to help ensure the safety and security of learners, teaching and non-teaching personnel and visitors.

The school remains committed to maintaining a safe, secure and conducive learning environment for the entire school community. ❤️
