Eid al-Adha is one of the two major feasts of Islam and is observed in the Philippines as a regular holiday pursuant to Republic Act No. 9849, which provides that the tenth day of Dhu al-Hijjah of the Islamic calendar shall be a national holiday, with a movable date.

As a state university committed to nation-building, USeP
recognizes that respect for faith, culture, and diversity is central to building a just and inclusive society. Eid al-Adha reminds the community of the enduring values of sacrifice, compassion, and service to others.

May this occasion also serve as a call for reflection and action, where we reaffirm our commitment to education as a force for social good, and to shaping graduates who are not only skilled professionals but also conscientious citizens working for the common good.

Let us continue to build a university community grounded in respect, unity, and shared purpose, where differences in faith and tradition become a source of strength in advancing meaningful nation-building.

[๐—ฅ๐—˜๐—”๐——] Excellence walked proudly through the halls of the University of Southeastern Philippines Tagumโ€“Mabini Campus as the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) topnotchers in the Elementary Level paid a courtesy visit to the Office of the Chancellor on May 18, 2026, at the Administration Building, USeP TMC, Tagum Unit.

The four outstanding Agila educators were formally recognized during the campus flag ceremony: Ms. Ann Kristine Dela Peรฑa Danlag (Top 1), Ms. Hanna Jane M. Molina (Top 7), Ms. Maricel T. Erispe (Top 9) and Mr. Dave Mhar P. Abaniza (Top 10).Joining them were College of Teacher Education and Technology Dean Dr. Mildin J. Retutas, Bachelor of Elementary Education Program Head Dr. Arnulfo S. Masong, and Bachelor of Early Childhood Education Program Head Ms. Shirley Marie V. Llorente.

After the flag ceremony, the top achievers gathered at the CTET Deanโ€™s Office for a brief talk and catch-up with Dr. Retutas before visiting the Chancellor's Office for a courtesy visit. This gathering served as both a celebration of their academic achievements and a moment to reflect on the journey that led them to national recognition.

During her visit, Chancellor Villanueva praised the top achievers for their determination, resilience, and steadfast commitment to their dreams. She emphasized that their success serves as proof that perseverance can help overcome personal struggles and challenges. This inspires students throughout the University community to pursue excellence with discipline and purpose.

More than individual success stories, the achievement of the four topnotchers reflects the Universityโ€™s continuing pursuit of academic excellence and its commitment to producing competent, compassionate, and globally competitive educators. Their success further strengthens the reputation of USeP CTET as a nurturing ground for future teachers who are ready to transform classrooms and communities through quality education.

Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education, this recognition emphasizes the crucial role of higher education institutions in nurturing skilled educators who can promote inclusive, equitable, and transformative learning for future generations.

As the four top achievers from Agila move forward beyond the University, they carry with them not just medals and rankings, but also the hopes of every aspiring educator who dreams of making a difference. Their success serves as a powerful reminder that true excellence is achieved through sacrifice, resilience, and a steadfast passion for serving through education.

This milestone is also a shared victory built through dedication and support. The College thanks the administrators, faculty mentors, staff, families, and partners whose guidance, sacrifices, and belief in the students made this achievement possible. Behind every passer and top student is a community that invested time, effort, and care in shaping future educators who now carry the Agila name with pride and excellence.

CTET is not just about producing board passers; it also aims to develop educators who inspire change, uphold integrity, and serve with purpose. As these new Agila Teachers enter the profession, they bring with them not only academic excellence but also a mission to ignite learning, empower lives, and contribute to building a better future through education.

Soar High, Agila Teachers!
