The Bachelor of Science in Criminology welcomed the academic year 2026-2027 with the Criminology Acquaintance Party. This celebration fostered friendship, camaraderie, and unity among students, it is an opportunity that strengthens connections, lasting relationships, and uphold values of solidarity, hospitality, and teamwork that define every Criminology student.
The Acquaintance commences with an exciting Showdown of Year Levels, where 1st year until 3rd year students showcased their incredible talents through energetic dance performances. It proved that Criminology students are not only disciplined and dedicated in their field but are also gifted with creativity, confidence, and passion. Moreover, the fun continued with interactive games such as 𝘗𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘣𝘪𝘩𝘪𝘯 𝘔𝘰!, 𝘍𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘸, 𝘚𝘶𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘰𝘥,followed by a lively 𝘒𝘶𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘯 and 𝘑𝘢𝘮 𝘋𝘢𝘺 which creates unforgettable memories and stronger friendships.
After the departmental program, the students proceeded to the Institutional Acquaintance, where the BS Criminology program proudly delivered its loudest and most spirited bench yell. Although the stars did not align in our favor, what truly mattered was the 𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘸𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘦𝘥, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘷𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘦 𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘥, because we believe that winning is temporary; what is important is the spirit of togetherness and the ‘𝐓𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐤 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲’ we proudly embodied will always remain.
This Acquaintance Party brought joy, excitement, laughter, and meaningful connections, it reminds us that despite our differences and the challenges we may face, nothing can stop Criminology students from standing together with honor, discipline, and resilience. February 6, 2026 marked the final day of Criminology Day 2026, concluding the celebration with meaningful activities that further prepared future leaders in the field, which strengthened the bond among Marian Criminology students, fostering unity, camaraderie, and shared purpose, guided by the theme “𝑆ℎ𝑎𝑟𝑝𝑒𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑆𝑘𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑠, 𝐵𝑢𝑖𝑙𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐷𝑖𝑠𝑐𝑖𝑝𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑒, 𝑆𝑒𝑟𝑣𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐶𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑦."

The morning began with a 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆, where Team Investigators, 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬, 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐬, and 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐄𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬 showcased their teamwork and camaraderie through various interactive games. The activity allowed students to develop leadership, cooperation, and trust which are qualities that are essential for future law enforcers who are expected to work as one in serving the community. Simultaneously, the Criminology Basketball League energized the celebration as each year level displayed remarkable talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship on the court, and the students from 3rd Year emerged as champion.

In the afternoon, Criminology students participated in a 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 facilitated by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐑𝐡𝐨𝐝𝐚 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐢𝐚 𝐃. 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐚, a training which emphasizes the importance of effective communication reminding students that while strategies and technical skills are important, we sometimes forget the most basic yet powerful foundation of clear, respectful, and responsible communication. The speaker highlighted that in law enforcement and public service, communication builds trust, it does prevents conflict, it does strengthens teamwork, and it does ensures that justice is carried out with integrity. Throughout the training, student's were reminded that being a future criminology professional means not only leading with authority, but also speaking with clarity, listening with understanding, and acting with accountability.

The day concluded with the 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺, including the awarding of winners from the various competitions and activities conducted throughout the celebration, this include the competitions of 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐲 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐄𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐀𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠, and 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞, the said highlight event was a moment of recognition, gratitude, and pride for everyone who contributed to the success of the celebration.

Criminology Day 2026 officially culminated with a heartfelt 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴, where students sang with pride and joy enable to cherish the memories, friendships, and lessons gained throughout the celebration.

This successful event would not have been possible without the unwavering support and dedication of 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐨 𝐀. 𝐃𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐑𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦, 𝐌𝐒𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦, for the continuous guidance, as well as to the Criminology personnel 𝐌𝐚’𝐚𝐦 𝐑𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐲𝐧 L. 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐑𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦 and 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐉𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐞 G. 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐬𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦. Also, to the officers of 𝐈𝐌𝐂𝐀, 𝐂𝐀𝐂, 𝐘𝐋𝐎, as well as to the 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐬, and everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Most importantly, it was made meaningful by the enthusiasm, teamwork, sportsmanship, cooperation, and active participation of all 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬.

Criminology Day 2026 may have concluded, but the values which strengthened, skills which sharpened, and bonds which built will continue to guide the future guardians of justice.

On February 5, 2026, the Bachelor of Science in Criminology continued the celebration of Criminology Day 2026, guided by the theme “𝑆ℎ𝑎𝑟𝑝𝑒𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑆𝑘𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑠, 𝐵𝑢𝑖𝑙𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐷𝑖𝑠𝑐𝑖𝑝𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑒, 𝑆𝑒𝑟𝑣𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐶𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑦."

The day commenced with a formal seminar on the
𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗤𝗖 (𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲-𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘁), facilitated by 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞 𝐂 𝐎𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐜, together with 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐉𝐨𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐝 𝐏 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐳𝐚.This activity reinforced the importance of applied learning by providing students with practical knowledge on discipline, accuracy, situational awareness, and proper tactical response, which are essential competencies for future professionals in criminology and law enforcement.

In the afternoon, students participated in an 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 guided by a range officer 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞 𝐂 𝐎𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐜. The students engaged in friendly yet challenging battle designed to enhance teamwork, strategy, and responsible handling skill, and it allows students to apply what they had learned while strengthening both mental focus and physical readiness. This competition served as a simulation of real-life scenarios as it requires quick thinking, coordination, and discipline.

Day 2 of Criminology Day 2026 was filled with dynamic and action-oriented activities that further enhanced capabilities, preparing criminology students to become responsible defenders of justice in the future.
