The stake president holds the "priesthood keys to lead the work of the Church in the stake (see 3.4.1). He and his counselors form a stake presidency. They care for stake members with love, helping them become true followers of Jesus Christ.

On Monday, May 4, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. (Philippine Time), Elder Gary E. Stevenson of the Quorum of the
Twelve Apostles and his wife, Sister Lesa Stevenson, will speak to young adults during a
worldwide devotional themed “Lifelong Discipleship.”

All young adults ages 18–35, including those who will turn 18 this year and married young
adults, are invited to participate.

The First Presidency has announced new age-group names for young women—names that reflect their identity, growth, and purpose.

The new age-group names are:
• Builders of Faith (young women turning 12 or 13)
• Messengers of Hope (young women turning 14 or 15)
• Gatherers of Light (young women turning 16 or older)

Young Women General President Emily Belle Freeman said the spiritual significance of the names became especially clear to her during a recent visit with young women in Tahiti.

“As the girls sang, I was inspired to think of these covenant-keeping young women whose purpose and mission would be to build faith, share hope, and gather and reflect light around the world,” President Freeman said. “My eyes teared up as I realized the Spirit had been leading this process all along, inspiring names of faith, hope, and light that would help God’s daughters live as disciples of Christ and prepare them to enter a lifelong sisterhood of charity—the Relief Society.”

UPDATE: Seminary Tools Moved to LCR for Priesthood Leaders

The seminary tools for priesthood leaders are now available through “Leader and Clerk Resources” (LCR) rather than mySeminary. This change places these tools in a place
familiar to leaders. It will benefit them by reducing fragmentation and confusion, improving adoption, and aligning support with LCR rather than S&I. Also, we will add updated content to “Seminary Reports in Leader and Clerk Resources (LCR)” in the S&I Help Center to provide internal guidance for providing consistent and confident support to leaders throughout the world.
