Summit: Progressive Child-Centered Preschool Founded in 2006, we follow a progressive Developmental-Interaction Approach to educating children 1 to 6 years of age

Founded in 2006, Summit sees each child as an integrated whole, thus we provide numerous opportunities for the child’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth to foster total development. Summit’s approach to learning is called Developmental-Interaction. We create curricula that coincide with the capacities and needs of children at various stages of growth and provide opportunities for their interaction with the environment — of people, places, and things — that are important for learning and development.

Class Suspension on Friday, Sept 26

Taguig LGU has again suspended classes for all levels tomorrow due to Tropical Cyclone Opong. Summit is required to comply; the campus will be closed.

We know this is the 4th suspension this week and share the frustration, especially when the weather seems calm. Only a very few schools with special charters (granted by Congress) can legally remain open. Others that do so may not be following government rules. Summit has no such special charter and will comply with the law.

Tomorrow’s learning will continue through asynchronous activities posted by teachers on Seesaw in the morning.

Class Suspension Today (Thu, Sept 25)

Taguig LGU has automatically suspended Day Care & Kinder classes under Signal #1 (Severe Tropical Storm Opong). Summit must comply; campus is closed.

We know it’s sunny in many areas—and it’s our 3rd suspension this week. Thanks for bearing with us; citywide rules are automatic and conditions can change.

You may see some schools open; only those with special charters/exemptions may do so. Summit has none and will always follow the law.

Per the Office of the President, classes at all levels in Metro Manila—including Taguig—are suspended tomorrow due to expected heavy rainfall from Super Typhoon Nando and the Southwest Monsoon. Summit’s campus will be closed in compliance.

We’ll shift to online learning. Teachers will share Zoom links and schedules via Seesaw/parent email today. Please stay safe and dry.
