350g of lean steak (80g of protein) from a local cow, local halal butcher. no time to slice it, so it went in a ziplock and i ate it outside :)

halal, healthy, high protein. that’s the order. cheaper than you think when you buy direct from a butcher instead of a supermarket.

Ramadan is in six months, and i’m committed to getting in shape, well before Ramadan so i have no excuses when it’s finally time to commit to ibadah. i will be starting a 12-week weight loss challenge and i’ll talk about the sunnah of working out, importance of red meat / eggs / organ meat, and more. i was shocked to learn in the Philippines, it’s not enough to just take ur shahada, but that u need to actually get it documented, and so on to get a certificate! to be clear, the shahada already made u Muslim, the paper is for government stuff, not ur faith. u can still take a shahada with the person who guided u to Islam, in fact, i recommend doing it sooner than later, but be sure to take it again at the mosque to kick off the document process. it’s better to get these matters done sooner than later. Alhamdulillah and welcome to Islam :)

dear Fathers, i know there is nothing you want more in this world than to protect your daughters. but maybe some of what we built to protect them is doing more harm than good. maybe it is time to trust the sunnah, and Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala, more.

honestly, whether you’re white, brown, tan, green, black, blue, idc. just stop letting these corporations exploit us and make us unhealthier. eat well, get some sun, hit the gym, and strive to be amazing inside and out. i hope this helps anyone struggling with their insecurities, and nudges those in positions of power to make products actually good for the ummah.

P.S. speaking of founders making something good for the ummah, shoutout to Naju Formulas, started by one of the very few Muslim psychiatrists in the country who also happens to be a pharmacist, bringing halal, sunnah-inspired supplements here in the PH. blackseed honey gummies, vitamin D + K2, to name a few. not sponsored, i just love what the sister is doing and grateful to have met her and learn about the company at the blossom.socialclub bazaar this past weekend. go support her.
