Week of July 6 - July 10, 2026

This week, our little scientists dove into the Sinking Orange experiment to discover the surprising mechanics of buoyancy. They were fascinated to learn that an unpeeled orange floats thanks to the tiny air pockets in its rind, but sinks right to the bottom once it's peeled.

For our Food Tasting Activity, they sampled cheese. It was an absolute hit, with many of our enthusiastic foodies eagerly asking for seconds.

We also celebrated Louise's birthday this week. The children had a wonderful time singing together, sharing sweet birthday wishes, and enjoying their snacks as a group.

Lastly, our classroom was buzzing with creativity as the children put their fine motor skills to work. They proudly crafted a variety of fun items, including paper radishes, lemons, french fries, fruit juice, and T-shirts.

Week of June 29 - July 3, 2026

The students tried the Spinning Spiral Experiment. They placed a paper spiral in a tub of water and added a drop of dishwashing liquid. They watched the spiral spin on top of the water. It was a simple and fun science activity.

For our Food Tasting Activity, the kids tried margarine. Some of them liked the taste, while others did not. It was interesting to see their honest reactions.

They also made several crafts this week. They created handprint fish puppets, corn, eggplants, avocados, and beehives. They worked hard and enjoyed making their projects.

Week of June 22 - 26, 2026

This week, the students made an adorable bunny out of a real orange with little peel ears for their STEM activity. They loved placing it over a flashlight and watching their citrus bunny glow

For our Food Tasting Activity, the kids tried oats. While some absolutely loved the texture and flavor, others weren't quite sure about it. Still, we are so proud of everyone for being brave taste-testers and trying something new.

Our classroom was also a busy workshop this week. The kids worked hard making special gifts to take home, including necktie bookmarks, "Best Dad" rosettes, photo frames, and paper suit-and-bowtie crafts.

Week of June 15 - 19, 2026

The students dived into hands-on learning with a fun and simple Water Balloon Experiment to see how water fills and shapes the balloons.

For our Food Tasting Activity, the children explored mayonnaise, and it was a huge hit, most of them absolutely loved it.

We also celebrated Chase's 4th birthday with food, singing, and lots of laughter. We made sure to take plenty of pictures to remember the day.

The kids had a blast making adorable paper crafts, creating their very own little butterflies, traffic lights, carrots, eggs, and trolls.

Week of June 8 - 11, 2026

This week, the students tried the Fizzy Rainbow Experiment, where they mixed baking soda, vinegar, and bright colors to watch a beautiful, bubbly eruption happen right before their eyes.

For the Food Tasting Activity, the kids explored lettuce. While it wasn't their favorite flavor, they had a wonderful time staying curious and discovering a new vegetable together.

They also loved making adorable paper crafts, creating their own little school buses, notebooks, glue bottles, and watercolor palettes.

The students welcomed the first week of June with lots of fun and learning!

They tried the Swing Candle Experiment. By lighting a candle balanced on a stick, they watched it rock back and forth like a seesaw as the wax melted from both ends.

For the Food Tasting Activity, the kids explored onions this week. Even though they weren't big fans of the smell, they stayed super engaged.

Creativity was also in full swing. They loved crafting adorable paper pencils, crayons, candles, frogs, and buckets.

We wrapped up the final week of May on a high note, filled with celebration, discovery, and plenty of creativity.

The classroom was full of joy as we came together to celebrate JK and Hugo’s birthdays, showering the birthday boys with well-wishes and sharing in the festive spirit.

In STEM, the students dove into the Water and Marker Experiment, exploring concepts of absorption, capillary action, and color mixing as they watched water bring their ink designs to life.

We also hosted a Food Tasting Activity where the kids tried fresh carrots. While a few friends needed a little gentle encouragement to take that first crunch, others absolutely loved the experience.

They also kept their hands busy creating adorable handprint paper rats, brooms, newspaper and tree mosaics, and popsicle stick puppets.
