Out of 153 entries, the University of Makati emerged as one of the finalists in the 2025 Oro Inodoro Awards, securing its place as one of only three HEI finalists nationwide.
Formerly known as the Golden Kubeta Award, the Oro Inidoro Awards by Maynilad Services, Inc., recognize exemplary public restrooms across the country that prioritize cleanliness, accessibility, comfort, and sustainable wastewater practices.
Vice President for Administration Jewel Bulos and University Facilities Management Office Head Roque Adarna III represented UMak during the awarding ceremony.

The University of Makati achieved another remarkable feat, securing the 186th spot in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2025: Global Top Innovative Universities. This outstanding performance makes UMak the top local university in Metro Manila!
UMak's commitment to excellence is further highlighted by its strong showing in several key categories worldwide. The university landed 32nd in the Ethics and Integrity category, 34th in the Student Mobility and Openness category, and 50th in the Technology Development and Application category.
WURI assesses the actual impact of higher education institutions on industry and society, emphasizing their cutting-edge methods in teaching, groundbreaking research, and community engagement.

The University of Makati participated for the first time in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025 and was recognized for its contributions in addressing good health and well-being, building international partnerships, leveraging collaborative research, providing quality education, and equipping students with skills for the future workforce.

Congratulations, UMak community!
After completing the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) Preliminary Survey Visit last April 2025 through the Center for Quality Management and Development, UMak's academic programs, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, and Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology, are now eligible to apply for a Formal Survey Visit.
The management extends its deepest gratitude to the community for the notable contributions, a reflection of the University's power of unity, dedication, and our collective pursuit of academic excellence.
PAASCU is a service organization that performs institutional accreditation as well as accreditation, or quality assurance, for the academic programs of its member institutions. Its main objective is to assist these institutions in their ongoing quest for quality enhancement, under the direction of their educational philosophies, visions, and missions.
