NEW KOOP KING MULTI-PURPOSE COOPERATIVE LIPA SATELLITE OFFICE BLESSING
Each race has their own traditions whenever a person or a family moves into a new house. There are various practices in Filipino tradition when moving to a new house such as one must move on a full moon and carry salt, sugar, cotton and rice with a lighted candle. Another traditional belief when moving into a new house is to scatter coins around the house and to never pick the coins. Other beliefs are rooted from Chinese traditionsโ what to bring first when moving into a new house. It is also in line with their belief in Feng Shui. Few reasons for these practices is to yield a harmonious life as well as to ward away evils and bad luck. There are a lot of other traditional beliefs in moving to a new house wherein some are applicable when moving into a new facility.
The growing demands in terms of manufacturing led to the decision of moving Koop King MPCs Lipa Manufacturing Satellite Office to a bigger facility. Just like traditions of moving into a new house, we also practiced some of those during the blessing of the new Lipa Satellite Office Facility. We prepared candles for the blessing, coins and sweet delights to be thrown in each corner of the facility. But unlike moving into a new house tradition, the thrown sweets and coins are picked up by the excited sewing personnel and the invited guests of the event. On top of the lists of guests are Hon. Vilma Santos-Recto, Member of the House of Representatives from Lipa City and Hon. Rico Geron, Representative of AGAP Party List. However, due to some of their pressing concerns, they were not able to grace the said Lipa Satellite Office Blessing. Despite their absence, Koop King MPC was able to push through the event. The honored guest is MGen Rolando Capacia AFP (Ret), the Vice-President of Prime Acers Holdings Corporation graced us with an inspiring message. He was once the Chairperson of Koop King MPC. Some of our generous suppliers donated lechon and flowers for the decoration of the area, they were also present at the event. Having an unpredictable weather that day, the Board of Directors, Top Management and selected Staffs with the assistance from ACDI MPC ICT team prepared well for the blessing of the facility which proceeded smoothly. The guests were provided with giveaways and some won during the raffle. A generator set was set if in case a power interruption will occur. The Marketing Department set up a mini booth for their saleable items.
Despite the unexpected heavy rainfall, the new Lipa Satellite Office blessing was a success. It was also a learning for all the Personnel in big events. As a result, procurement of our very own PA System was done to avoid requesting assistance from ACDI MPC which may hamper the work of the team to be assigned in assistance to us. An official AVP was also fabricated to be used in other activities such as information drives to PAF and ACDI MPCs CBLs. That day was a joyous moment as well for our skilled workers for they are able to experience and feel to be a part of Koop King MPC.

PROVIDERS MULTI-PURPOSE COOPERATIVE STUDY VISIT AT KOOP KING MULTI-PURPOSE COOPERATIVE LIPA SATELLITE OFFICE
Koop King Multi-Purpose Cooperative works in collaboration with various types of people, considering working with suppliers and clients with different needs and specific orders. It is quite challenging especially for our Marketing Team as front liners doing the task. Despite the challenge, exposure of our products lead us to meet and do business with other Cooperatives as well as private individuals who are interested to pursue partnership with Koop King MPC. Due to these opportunities, there is a need to get out of your comfort zone and explore your future partner through study visits.
A Study Visit is when an individual or a group visits to a certain area such as a country for the purpose of knowledge exchange. In our case, the best area for knowledge exchange is our Manufacturing Satellite Office. PROVIDERS Multi-Purpose Cooperative is a well-established Cooperative wherein one of the highlights of their services is the PMPC Medical Center which recently opened in July 5, 2018. They conducted a study visit in one of Koop King MPCs Manufacturing Satellite Office which is located in Brgy. Pinatong-ulan, Lipa City, Batangas. The said activity is part of their Lakbay Aral and Team Building for CY 2018. PROVIDERS MPC visited Lipa Satellite Office last August 02, 2018 with which their team was participated by 61 employees. Along with it are their Board of Directors duly headed by Ms. Marie Dee B. Belagan, Chairperson of PROVIDERS MPC, Ms. Olivia T. Cureg, Vice-Chairperson, and their BOD Members, Ms. Maria A. Magaoay, Ms. Charito Rosario O. Aggabao and Ms. Cecilia C. Racimo. While Koop King MPCs team is headed by the Chairperson, Ms. Mary Jean B. Tabayoyong together with the Board of Directors, Retired Col Carlos B. Cepe, Vice Chair-Person, Board Members Ms. Fe A. Parone, Ms. Liza Z. Lumanga, and Ms. April Rose A. Merino. From the Management, General Manager, Imelda C. Bautista duly prepared for the said event since we are looking forward to a partnership with PROVIDERS MPC.
A short program was conducted showcasing the humble beginnings and brief history of Koop King MPC. Retired MGen Rolando F. Capacia graced the event as our Guest Speaker. PMPCs Chairperson, Ms. Mary Dee B. Belagan, delivered her warm message and even stressed that Koop King shall marry PMPC as the Queen. Despite the rainy weather, the program pushed through successfully and it was shortly followed by a tour at Lipa Satellite Office. They were divided into two groups where the Assistant General Manager for Operations, Ms. Roselia T. Saura lead the first group and the Head of Lipa SO, Ms. Joan M. Lugo lead the second group. The tour for the two groups went well where they saw the manufacturing operations of Koop King MPC from silkscreen printing, sublimation printing, embroidery, UV printing, and even the sewing operations. They were also able to avail some stuff for a friendly price such as bags, jackets, statement shirts, and umbrellas.
With such experience, Koop King MPC got to know PROVIDERS MPC better and started a bond that we hope to last through years. We also learned in preparation to other upcoming activities. We look forward to making the tie official with PROVIDERS MPC!
