ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON AUGUST 20

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 131, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 20, 2026:

📍 Pangasinan
📍 Bataan
📍 Bulacan
📍 Nueva Ecija
📍 Pampanga
📍 Tarlac
📍 Zambales
📍 Batangas
📍 Cavite
📍 Laguna
📍 Rizal
📍 Occidental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes and learning continuity measures at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) workers placed under alternative work arrangements shall be paid their corresponding wages or salaries, subject to applicable rules and regulations.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENT IN THE SCHOOL CALENDAR

In view of the series of class suspensions that have affected our instructional time and scheduled activities, Blessed Land Academy of Taguig, Inc. announces adjustments to several dates in the school calendar to ensure sufficient time for the completion of lessons, assessments, and other academic requirements.

Please take note of the following revised schedules:

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 129 issued by the Office of the President, classes at all levels in both public and private schools in Taguig City are suspended tomorrow, August 19, 2026.

All affected classes shall shift to modular or other alternative learning modalities.

Residents are advised to continue monitoring advisories from the official channels of the City of Taguig.

Due to the prevailing Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), periods of moderate to heavy, at times intense rainfall are expected to continue affecting Metro Manila through Wednesday.

In view of these weather conditions, classes at all levels in both public and private schools in Taguig City shall be suspended tomorrow, August 18, 2026.

All affected classes shall shift to modular or other alternative learning modalities.

Residents are advised to continue monitoring official advisories from the City of Taguig and PAGASA and to take the necessary precautions.

Sa pagdiriwang na ito, patuloy nating pahalagahan ang wikang Filipino bilang daan sa pagpapalawak ng kaalaman, pagpapalakas ng kultura, at pagkakaisa ng bawat mamamayan.

Laganap na sa panahon ngayon, ang paggamit ng Artificial Intelligence (AI) ito ay nagiging tulay sa paghahanap, pagsusuri, at pagbabahagi ng impormasyon. Ngunit mas higit na nagiging makabuluhan ang teknolohiya kapag ito'y ginamit nang may pananagutan at pagpapahalaga sa ating wikang Filipino, kultura, at pagkakakilanlan. Sa pamamagitan ng AI at Wikang Filipino, patuloy nating palawakin ang kaalaman at bumuo ng mas makabago at makabuluhang kinabukasan.

"Hindi masamang paunlarin ang kaalaman sa paggamit ng Wikang Filipino sa anumang bagay at pagsasagawa ng pananaliksik gamit ang AI, ngunit maging maingat lamang tayo at maging responsable sa paggamit nito."

Due to the Yellow Heavy Rainfall Warning issued over Taguig and the prevailing rains and strong wind gusts associated with the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), afternoon classes in both public and private schools from Kindergarten to Senior High School (SHS), including Alternative Learning System (ALS) and Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD), are suspended today, August 17, 2026.

All affected classes shall shift to modular or other alternative learning modalities.
