Ngayong Abril 9, ating ginugunita ang Araw ng Kagitingan. Ito ay isang makasaysayang araw kung saan ating pinaparangalan ang walang kapantay na tapang at sakripisyo ng ating mga bayani, ang mga sundalong Pilipino na lumaban nang buong puso sa Bataan at Corregidor noong World War II.

Sa paggunita natin sa kanilang kabayanihan, ating sariwain ang diwa ng pagmamahal sa bayan, katatagan, at ang kahalagahan ng pagkakaisa. Ang kanilang pag-alay ng sariling buhay para sa kalayaan na ating tinatamasa ngayon ay hindi kailanman malilimutan. Ating itaas ang bandila ng Pilipinas nang may paggalang at pagmamalaki, at patuloy nating isabuhay ang mga aral ng kagitingan sa ating pang-araw-araw na pamumuhay.
