GOJA students attended a disaster preparedness talk at the Taguig Disaster Management Center.

The program concluded with an earthquake drill held at Garden of Joy Academy, allowing students to apply the lessons through hands-on practice and preparedness activities.

Due to the heavy rains and strong winds expected to be brought by Typhoon Uwan, all school activities and classes in all levels, both public and private, are suspended on November 9 and 10 in Taguig City.

All affected classes are advised to shift to Alternative Delivery Mode of learning when appropriate in accordance with DepEd Policy.

According to PAGASA, Metro Manila and nearby provinces will experience continuous rainfall and possible orange rainfall warning from Sunday afternoon until Monday as Typhoon Uwan affects certain parts of the country, including the National Capital Region.

The City of Taguig urges everyone to stay alert and monitor official advisories for updates.
