Good day Young Einstein members and incoming Grade 9 and 10 SNCS students. This coming July 22-25, the Philippine Society of Youth Science Clubs is inviting our school to attend in the annual National Youth Science Technology and Environment Summer Camp to be held in Davao City. As part of the 2015 Math and Science Week celebration "and adapting the DOST theme" "Philippines: A Science Nation Innovating for Global Competitiveness" , we held an event of Math and Science Interactive Exhibits and Galleries in our school gymnasium conducted by Don Jose Travel and Tours. This activity features XPLORA Science Discovery and I'm a Scientist.

Here's the activity we demonstrated earlier.

The v***r from the boiling water pushed air out of the can. When the can was filled with water v***r, you cooled it suddenly by inverting it in water. Cooling the can caused the water v***r in the can to condense, creating a partial vacuum. The extremely low pressure of the partial vacuum inside the can made it possible for the pressure of the air outside the can to crush it.
The can was crushed / collapsed when the air pressure outside became greater than the pressure inside. That pressure difference was greater than the can was
able to withstand.
