Gentle Lamb Academy, Inc. “Our Heart and Hand to bring Wholeness to God’s little one’s.” Gentle Lamb Learning Center is a realization of a Vision. On 1987, Pastor Romeo R. and Mrs.

Talamera was sent by Grace Bible Church to start a pioneering ministry in Mahogany, Tagig. A year later, a small congregation started to worship and engaged in mission work. Several activities were initiated: VBS, Sunday Schools, Bible Study, Medical-Dental Clinic, Feeding the malnourished . The growth of the church (known later as the Mahogany Homes Christian Fellowship) however, remained slow. After 3 years, Pastor Talamera proposed the ideas of establishing Mission School for pre-schoolers. By this time, Rev. Grepor “Butch” Belgica, Evangelist and President of the Living Miracle Foundation had just brought in the Philippines a unique but effective program for pre-school children. The program integrates the BEKA principles of learning and uses the Sue Dickson kit, distinguished for its excellent phonics system. To implement the program, Rev. Belgica entered a covenant of partnership with Sommer Havens Ministries (in USA). The latter egreeing to sent missionaries, the likes of Rev. Patricia Capwell to overseer training and establishing of learning centers all over the country. Thus the birth of the INSTITUTE FOR FOUNDATIONAL LEARNING. Sister Pat, zealous and committed conducted the first Seminar at the Gentle Lamb Learning Center. About 20 teachers attended; 3 from MHCF. On November 5, 1990. GLLC formally opened for classes. 38 students enrolled and 35 of them made it to recognition. School year 1991-92 is a very significant transition for GLLC. Enrollment increased to 35, an impressive growth mark. To accommodate the growing population, Pastor Talamera scouted for a place. Transferred followed at the house across the MHCF. Today, the house of Atty. Alfredo Bituin, Jr. at #9 St., Martin Ave., Mahogany Homes, B-bayan, Taguig City is the present GLA site. In 1994, Gentle Lamb Academy integrated in its curriculum program for special children. March 29, 1996, IFL granted a five (5) year probationary status to Gentle Lamb Academy, Inc. School year 1996-97 is a pivotal for Gentle Lamb. It seeks government recognition in order to add two grade one classes. A 3-storey building is also planned to house more students. Higher levels were added every year until complete elementary course was granted by the DepEd to be offered at GLA. This School year 2010-2011, we had 125 enrollees which is our all time high so far…
