Ang Social Studies Club ng Maria Concenpcion Cruz High School ay nakikiisa sa paggunita sa kapanganakan ng isa sa mga bayani ng ating bansa na si Emilio "Pingkian" Jacinto!

Ngayong araw, ating ipinagdiriwang ang alaala ni Emilio Jacinto na kilala rin bilang "𝙐𝙩𝙖𝙠 𝙣𝙜 𝙆𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙥𝙪𝙣𝙖𝙣". Isinilang siya noong ika-15 ng Disyembre, taong 1875 sa Tondo, Maynila. Siya ay naging kanang-kamay ni Andres Bonifacio at nagsilbing kalihim ng Katipunan.

Sa murang edad, siya ang sumulat ng " 𝙆𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙮𝙖 𝙣𝙜 𝙆𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙥𝙪𝙣𝙖𝙣 at 𝙇𝙞𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜 𝙖𝙩 𝘿𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙢, mga akdang nagsilbing gabay sa mga rebolusyonaryo upang ipaglaban ang kalayaan ng Pilipinas.

Bilang isang kabataan, nawa’y maging inspirasyon si Jacinto upang tayo’y maging mapanuri, maging makabayan, at handang maglingkod sa kapwa. Ang kanyang buhay ay patunay na ang talino at malasakit ay maaaring magbago ng kasaysayan.

‎Ang Social Studies Club ng Maria Concepcion Cruz High School ay taos-pusong nagpapaalala sa lahat na ipinagdiriwang natin ang 𝗣𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮 𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆, ang ating Pangunahing Patroness ng Pilipinas, ngayong ika-8 ng Disyembre.

Ito rin ay idineklarang isang Special Non-Working Holiday sa bisa ng 𝙍𝙚𝙥𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝘼𝙘𝙩 𝟭𝟬𝟵𝟲𝟲. Layunin ng batas na kilalanin ang mahalagang papel ng okasyong ito sa kasaysayan at kultura ng mga Pilipino, lalo na sa larangan ng pananampalataya at pamana ng Katolisismo sa bansa.

‎Ang araw na ito ay pagkakataon para sa mga mag-aaral at mamamayan na pagnilayan kung paano hinubog ng relihiyon ang ating identidad, tradisyon, at mga institusyon mula noong panahon ng kolonyalismo hanggang sa kasalukuyan. Mahalaga itong bahagi ng pag-unawa sa kasaysayan at paglinang ng kamalayang panlipunan.

Gayundin, ‎ang mahalagang araw na ito ay nagpapaalala sa atin ng doktrina ng Simbahang Katolika na si Birheng Maria ay ipinaglihi nang walang bahid ng orihinal na kasalanan.

Sabay-sabay nating ipagdiwang ang ika-162 kaarawan ng isa sa mga bayaning nagpalaya sa ating bayan laban sa mga mananakop.

Patuloy nating isabuhay ang aral ng kanyang laban: Mahalin ang bayan, Igalang ang katotohanan, at Manindigan para sa katarungan.

Ang Social Studies Club ng Maria Concepcion Cruz High School ay buong pusong nakikiisa sa National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) sa paggunita ng Ika-150 Taong Anibersaryo ng Kapanganakan ni Heneral Gregorio del Pilar na kilala din sa tawag na "Goyo".

Ngayong ika-14 ng Nobyembre taong 2025, ipinagdiriwang natin ang matapang na pamana ng "Boy General" o isa sa pinakabatang heneral ng Rebolusyon, na nag-iwan ng mahalagang marka sa kasaysayan ng ating kalayaan.

Inaanyayahan namin ang lahat na balikan at pag-aralan ang buhay ni Heneral Del Pilar bilang bahagi ng "𝘿𝙚𝙠𝙖𝙙𝙖 𝙣𝙜 𝙆𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙮𝙨𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣 𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙨 2023-2033" ng NHCP.

The Social Studies Club proudly presented Voices of the UNity: The Ambassadors’ Challenge as part of the United Nations Month celebration — a showcase of eloquence, confidence, and global awareness.

In this event, students stepped into the role of young ambassadors, writing and delivering their own speeches before the judges. Each speech echoed the true essence of the UN — promoting peace, unity, and understanding among nations.

Through their powerful words, our student speakers proved that every voice can inspire change and that unity begins when we dare to speak for a better world. 🌎✨
