It is really important to find out how well a child reads. Reading is the core academic skills that the children need to perform across all areas of schooling.

This can be due to two things:
1. The child does not have a good memory of how to create the letter
2. Tracing allows for the child to start at any point, and therefore formations may start bottom to top/in the middle of the letter/wherever and thus the resulting formation may be large/incorrect/illegible.

This is to introduce kids to various academic concepts, emphasizing sound reading, phonics and basic math skills and alot more for them to be well equipped, and be able to let them understand on how to execute instructions for better understanding ( para hindi sila maging nganga ).

Yes, a good foundation is the key, at na proved ko na to sa halos lahat ng nahawakan kong tutees.
